The Billionaire Alpha’s Contract Lover by Caesar Erickson novel Chapter 1354

Chapter 1354
Preston remained noncommittal, feeling that Harper simply
didn’t love him.
So, Preston, it’s time to wake up and let go of someone who doesn’t love you.
With this in mind, Preston unwrapped a piece of candy and
put it in his mouth. It should have been sweet, but he tasted a
bitter undertone.
After finishing the candy, he decided to let go of Harper and
their complicated and painful past.
Once he swallowed the candy, he pushed aside any thoughts
he shouldn’t have and lifted his head, smiling at Griffon.
“I promise you, from now on, I’ll work hard like you and stop
messing around.”
He seemed to have grown up all of a sudden, and his words were much more composed than before.
Griffon stared at this new version of Preston for a while before
continuing the conversation.
“If you really want to work hard, then come learn
management with me.”
Griffon thought he would have to persuade Preston, but to his surprise, Preston didn’t resist at all and simply nodded.
“Once I can move, give me more work to do.”
Griffon knew that Preston was using work to numb himself, so he wouldn’t feel the pain anymore, just like Griffon used to…
Thinking of how Preston was always there for him, caring for him when he was falling apart, Griffon reached out and placed his hand on Preston’s shoulder.
“You will get what you want, don’t rush it.”
He gently patted Preston’s shoulder.
“The person who hurt you will pay the price.”
With those words, Griffon got up and left.
Andre, waiting at the door, handed him a wet wipe.
“Alpha, Jayden is at Stella’s hospital.”
Griffon nodded slightly and, accompanied by a group of bodyguards, headed straight to Stella’s hospital and then
called Jayden into the director’s office.
Jayden, with several layers of bandages on the back of his hand, pushed open the door to the director’s office and saw
Griffon dressed in a black suit.
The man sat on the edge of the desk, his figure tall and straight. His hands were in his pockets, and his slightly turned profile was perfectly proportioned as if sculpted.
With flawless beauty, deep and three-dimensional features, and a face that resembled a painting, he was God ‘s favorite.
And yet, this favored pup exuded a noble and elegant aura with every move, just like Preston. It was an innate quality.
Upon seeing Griffon, Jayden couldn’t help but admit that he felt inferior in front of Preston and intimidated in front of
Griffon.
“Do you know why I called for you?”
With a cold tone and an icy aura, Griffon’s oppressive
presence overwhelmed Jayden.
Jayden raised his eyes to meet Griffon’s gaze and felt a sense of killing intent from those star-like eyes.
“I know.”
