Chapter 1356
If it were in the past, this sentence would have torn Griffon apart, but now that he has Taya, he seems much calmer.
“No one can be Silas.”
What he means is that Silas is not like Preston. Silas would not appear before them after they got mated and beg for reconciliation. This metaphor does not exist.
“So, Alpha also thinks that what Preston did was wrong?”
Jayden is good at finding the key points of the problem. Even Stella and Andre wouldn’t have asked such a question.
“I didn’t say he was right.”
Jayden wanted to get this kind of answer and couldn’t help but show a triumphant smile.
“If Alpha thinks he was wrong, then why bother coming to me
for trouble?”
“I came to you for the trouble you deliberately provoked with Preston. You better make that clear.”
He doesn’t care about Jayden and Harper’s affairs. What he cares about is Jayden’s manipulation and causing Preston to be misunderstood. But Jayden wants to mix everything together.
“The reason why I manipulated things is because he kept trying to reconcile with Harper. If I didn’t do this, he would
have kept hovering around me and Harper. I had a reason for what I did, so he has to bear the consequences. Am I right?”
At this point, Griffon finally understood why Harper chose to forgive Jayden.
“You’re really good at arguing. You’re wasting your talent being a doctor.”
Jayden doesn’t like it when people compare his personal behavior with his profession as a doctor.
“Alpha, being a doctor is my dream. Please don’t make fun of
me.”
When Jayden said this, there was a polite smile on his face, as if Griffon had said something inappropriate and he was politely counterattacking.
Griffon wasn’t actually mocking his profession. He just felt that from the moment he first saw Jayden, he felt that he was not genuine. He never expected to be proven right.
“You may have had a reason, but you shouldn’t have used
such methods. They’re neither honorable nor upright.”
Jayden shrugged nonchalantly.
“So what? At least it keeps Harper by my side, doesn’t it?”
With his tone and gesture, it seemed as if he was saying, “Look, Preston is like a fool, always begging for reconciliation, not knowing any tricks. In the end, he was misunderstood and abandoned by eva. On the other hand, I played some little schemes and Harper chose me. That’s the right way.”
