The Billionaire Alpha’s Contract Lover by Caesar Erickson novel Chapter 1424

Chapter 1424
As Anthony went on and on, Griffon suddenly remembered the way he had begged on his knees when Kate forced him to break up with Edith.
Nobody could have imagined that someone who used to only wander among women would one day grow wild and become a thriving giant tree, shining and glowing.
Human bias is like a towering mountain. Once deeply rooted, it’s hard to change. Little do people know that mountains have two sides, but once thoughts are fixed, people are unwilling to look at the other side.
After Anthony had clarified the details and explained what they would encounter in court, he looked up at Griffon.
Noticing Griffon sizing him up, Anthony asked somewhat uncomfortably, “Alpha, did I forget something?”
Griffon replied indifferently, “No, please continue.”
Only then did Anthony hand over the neatly organized documents to both of them.
“These are the questions the opposing lawyer will ask. I’ve listed them out for you to review.”
He was quite meticulous in his work, not only analyzing the case
clearly but also preparing the questions and answers for the opposing lawyer.
It showed that he really wanted to win this lawsuit because the person involved was a relative of the woman he had silently loved for many years.
With Griffon and Taya’s strong cooperation, Anthony quickly gathered all the information and recorded it in his notebook before bidding farewell.
After Anthony left, Frank approached and said, “Madam, Johnny is looking for you.”
Taya, who was reviewing the documents, raised her head in surprise and asked, “Looking for me?”
She didn’t have much interaction with Johnny, and whenever they crossed paths, it was always by chance. It was the first time he actively sought her out.
“Did he say what it was about?”
“No, he just asked you to go out.”
The man sitting next to her, his fingers holding the documents, stiffened slightly, and his face gradually darkened.
Taya noticed and quickly grabbed his arm, soothing him softly, “Honey, come with me.”
Griffon forced a smile, tugging at the corner of his stiff lips, “You
go, I have something to do.”
He wasn’t even angry or cold towards her this time when Johnny came to find her. He even smiled at her.
Taya assumed he really had something important, so she didn’t force him and simply got up to walk outside the castle.
Watching her petite figure gradually disappear from sight, Griffon tightly clenched the documents in his hand.
In the hot afternoon of summer, Taya held a black parasol and looked outside the large iron gate at Johnny.
He was dressed quite handsomely, a white shirt with gray trousers, looking neat and clean, but a bit foolish.
He stood under the sun, sweating through his shirt on the back, yet he refused to sit in the car and insisted on waiting at the
door.
