Chapter 240
While Taya was hugging her legs and leaning against the headboard in a daze, bright headlights hit the floor-to-ceiling glass.
Then, the sound of wheels rolling on the ground came from downstairs, and a luxury car stopped at the villa’s gate.
A pack guard holding an umbrella opened the rear door, and a tall man slowly got out of the car.
He tore off the tie around his neck with one hand and ordered coldly, “Don’t let him in.”
The pack guard replied with a “yes.” After walking the man to the door, he turned around and walked toward the iron gate outside the garden.
Taya stood before the French window and followed the pack guard’s line of sight. From a distance, she saw a man outside the iron gale.
She was too far away and it was raining heavily, so she couldn’t see the man’s face clearly and didn’t care much about him.
Withdrawing her gaze, she struggled to walk down the stairs with the help of the wall.
Griffon hadn’t returned for several days, and she hadn’t had the
chance to propose leaving.
Taya had to seize the opportunity now that he was back.
Griffon had just taken off his coat and handed it to the servant when she got downstairs.
His gloomy and cold face became even more of a snarl when he saw her coming downstairs.
However, Taya didn’t notice and quickly went up to him. “Alpha Knight…”
She wanted to say a few words to him, but he didn’t even give her a look and went straight to the bathroom.
Frustrated by the rejection, Taya’s face darkened.
He left her at home, ignored her, and even glared at her. Did he think she was a punching bag?
