She turned around to look at the man who was 

hugging her tightly. 

His face was cold and gloomy, and his thin lips were tightly pursed. 

His face was angry, indicating that he had heard everything they had just said. 

He must have thought she was leaving with Jackson, so he rushed to stop her. 

He had already gone too far with her in front of 

Jackson. Why wouldn’t he let her go? 

Taya lowered her head and hid her eyes, fearful they would give away the complicated emotions she was feeling. 

Seeing that she didn’t resist, Griffon’s expression softened a little, but his eyes were full of coldness as 

he looked at Jackson. 

“Alpha Sterling, why do you want to take over the woman I’ve slept with thousands of times?” 

These humiliating words made Jackson angry. 

He clenched his fists, shifting partially back into his lycan form and rushed forward, wanting to slash at 

Griffon with his claws. 

His wolf tried to take over on instinct, forgetting 

about his injured state. Griffon was one of the only 

Alphas as powerful as him; with these injuries, Jackson couldn’t overpower him. 

Before his claws could even touch the corner of 

Griffon’s shirt, Griffon lifted his leg and kicked him to the ground. 

“You’re overestimating your abilities!” 

Griffon raised his hand and flicked his sleeves. He 

snorted out a growl at Jackson on the ground. 

He didn’t care about Jackson’s life at all, which made Taya more and more disappointed. 

With a cold face, she pushed Griffon away, rushed to Jackson, and squatted down to help him. 

“Silas, are you hurt?” 

Seeing that she was worried about another man, the hostility in Griffon’s eyes rose sharply, and his wolf 

rose to the surface. 

It was as if something important had been stolen, 

and he could not help but want to take it back. 

“Come here.” 

His sense of superiority would not allow him to make 

a move toward her. 

He just stood there, looking down at the pair. 

Griffon’s expression was commanding, warning, and 

oppressive, suggesting punishment would be 

inflicted if she didn’t obey. 

Looking into his eyes, Taya felt extremely tired. She 

didn’t want to go over at all… 

But she knew his character. He wouldn’t let her and 

Jackson leave safely if things didn’t go as the Alpha 

wished. 

She didn’t care. She had been under his control for 

five years, but Jackson was still injured, and he had to 

go back for treatment. 

Taya sighed heavily, helped Jackson, and placed him 

on the sofa. Then, she spoke softly to him and said, 

“Wait for me here. I’ll talk to him, and then we’ll leave 

together, okay?” 

Jackson didn’t want her to return to Griffon, but when 

he heard she would go with him, he couldn’t help but let her. 

After giving him a gentle smile, Taya turned around 

and approached Griffon. “Alpha Knight, you must have heard what we just said, right?” 

Griffon pursed his lips and didn’t say a word, indicating that he had heard it. Then Taya continued. 

“We promised to be together for a lifetime. You heard about what happened later because of his amnesia and elder brother. I misunderstood him, and that’s why I signed that agreement with you in 

anger…” 

Griffon interrupted her. “Do you mean you’re unwilling to stay with me?” 

Taya nodded. “That’s right. I didn’t spend your money in the past five years because I didn’t want to owe you anything. Now that Silas is back and the 

misunderstanding has been cleared up, I want to go 

back to him and be with him. Can you let me go?”
