Chapter 738
Harper came down from upstairs and coughed intentionally to interrupt the two people who were embracing together.
“Um…about having a baby, let’s go see Stella again. Stella hasn’t given the diagnosis of infertility yet, which means there’s still a chance of being cured.”
Although Harper felt that having pups was not important, she still had to think about their future.
As they grew older, it was inevitable that they would want pups. Having a pup would make their journey through life less lonely.
And, she jokingly thought that she did not want two lonely old people coming to her house to play with her pups when they were older.
“Um? Uh-huh? Why do I have the idea of wanting to have a baby?”
Harper was startled by her own thoughts and shivered. She quickly shook off the image in her mind and looked towards Taya who was walking towards her.
“Taya, hurry up. We’re going to see Stella today, and she can check you out, then you might try to have a baby as soon as possible.”
The thin-skinned Taya was shy and blushed when she heard Harper mention that she was going to have a baby, with her eyes she implied to Harper, “Don’t say that in front of Griffon, it’s embarrassing.”
But Harper did not understand, she went up to Griffon and reminded him, “Why don’t you go to the hospital and have a check-up too?”
Having pups was a matter for the couple and could not be left entirely to the woman, which might be the man’s problem.
Griffon raised his bushy eyebrows slightly, his sharp eyes looking Harper up and down, wondering, “This is the woman Preston likes? Well, she was perfect for him.”
Next to him, after a moment of silent mourning for Harper, Andre swallowed and whispered an explanation, “Ms. Duke, there is nothing wrong with Alpha’ health.”
Taya seemed to be able to guess what Harper was going to say next, so she rushed to stop her, “He, he’s good, don’t ask…”
Harper was originally going to ask “Is your sperm normal”, but then she was stopped and replied “It’s fine” before going upstairs with Taya.
As they walked upstairs, Griffon swept his icy eyes to Andre, “Inform them to return to the pack mansion tonight.”
By “they” he meant the elders of the Knight pack.
It seemed… Alpha was going to take on the elders of the Knight pack.
Understanding his president’s thoughts, Andre respectfully replied, “I’ll make arrangements for that right away.”
Andre turned and left the villa, taking care of things at the behest of Griffon and fetching the roses from the car.
As Taya came down the stairs again, the exquisitely handsome man stood there holding a bouquet of pink flowers, patiently waiting for her.
When she saw the bouquet of flowers, her heart warmed at once. She walked up and took the flowers from him, looked up and said ‘thank you’ to him.
With a smile in his eyes, bringing the flawless side of his face closer to hers, Griffon said, “I want a reward.”
It was the first time Taya had seen him ask for a kiss, and she was a little shocked, but also a little amused, and eventually those emotions turned to sweetness.
She raised the corner of her lips, stood on tiptoe, and kissed the side of his face lightly.
The soft lips touched him gently, bringing an electric sensation that made Griffon move his sensual throat.
He raised his hand to clasp her slender waist, and pulled her into his arms, “On the mating ceremony night, you must make it
up to me.”
Taya buried her reddish face, and lightly reprimanded him, “I just gave you the reward, why are you asking me for… again.”
Griffon embracing her tried to say something, but Harper’s faint voice came from the stairs.
“Do you guys actually want to go?”
Griffon lifted his eyes and looked at Harper who was leaning against the wall, and suddenly felt it was time for Preston to go home.
Harper sensed his gaze on her and felt that something was off, but she could not pinpoint what it was exactly. She just felt
uneasy.
As she tried to get a better look, Griffon withdrew his cold gaze and reluctantly let go of Taya.
“I’ll drive you there.”
