Chapter 861
The words “Let’s go home” brought Taya back from her bewilderment.
She raised her chin slightly and looked at the tall and straight man in front of her.
She opened her lips to say something, but in the end she gave it up, and just nodded to him.
After leading her into the car, Griffon took a seat beside her and reached out to fasten her seat belt.
Taya looked at the man who was buckling her seat belt, rubbed her fingers holding the business card a few times, then suddenly let go.
“Griffon…”
“Um?”
Coming softly from his throat, the man’s pleasant
voice was deep and magnetic.
“Mrs. Yardley knows who my mother is, but she wants to trade it for Grace.”
“She also said…”

Seeing her pause, Griffon turned his head slightly
and opened his mouth.
“She wants you to stay away from me?”
Taya froze for a moment, seemingly not expecting him to have guessed it. After a few seconds of hesitation with her head down, she chose to tell
him the truth.
“She said I wouldn’t mate you as long as I know who my mother is.”
“From what she said, it seems there was some
resentment between my mother and you.”
Griffon paused for a moment. In fact, he was rather afraid that someone would come and mess up before the mating ceremony, but he did not expect it to come in this way.

Staring at Taya’s fair face for a moment, he helped
her pin the wind-blown hair behind her ear with his fingers.
“What do you think?” He asked.
Taya clutched the business card in her hand and shook her head without any words.
Seeing that she was silent, Griffon thought she was
shaken and felt a little annoyed and frustrated.
After sitting quietly for a while, he suddenly reached out and pulled off the black tie above his
shirt.
He was slightly relieved to be free of the tie, but still
restless.
He felt his pocket, there were no cigarettes.
Apparently he had quit smoking a long time ago, but he suddenly felt like smoking.
He couldn’t find any cigarettes, so he had to open the windows and let the cold wind outside pour in
violently.
