The Billionaire And His Son Want Me Back (Paisley) novel Chapter 112

Marissa spent the whole day trying to cheer up Grayson, taking him out to play. Anytime she did this in the past and let him have whatever he wanted, Grayson would get especially attached to her.

But today, no matter how hard she tried to engage him, Grayson showed no interest. Eventually, he started crying and insisted on seeing Paisley. With no other option, Marissa had no choice but to take him back to Vanderbilt Manor.

Perhaps because he had been crying all day, he fell asleep shortly after returning home. Marissa looked at Grayson, sound asleep, and felt her frustration simmering.

If she could, she would really like to strangle this little brat. If it weren't for the fact that he still held some value to her, she wouldn't waste her time trying to please him. Just then, her phone rang, displaying Jack's name.

'Could it be that Mr. Vaire has agreed to meet with them?' Marissa thought, quickly leaving Grayson's room and stepping into the hallway. "Jack, has Mr. Vaire agreed to meet us?"

She was desperate for an opportunity to showcase herself to the Vanderbilt family right now. She needed to secure an irreplaceable position in the minds of every member of the Vanderbilt family.

"Yes and no," Jack replied.

His ambiguous answer left Marissa confused and irritated. "What does that mean?"

"I asked around, but the response I got was that Nion won't meet anyone privately."

Marissa's heart sank. "Then...is there any other way I can meet him? I'll pay whatever it takes."

"Marissa, why is it always about money with you? I'm not helping you for the money." Jack was a bit displeased.

"Sorry, I didn't mean it that way. I just really want to meet Mr. Vaire." Marissa quickly switched up her tone and attitude. That was her greatest strength—she could switch her mood in an instant.

Jack's tone softened. "You can meet him, but it'll take some effort. I found out that Nion will be attending the Crown&Culture charity auction in a few days. He'll be donating one of his paintings to be auctioned off, and the proceeds will go to children in impoverished remote areas."

"As expected of Mr. Vaire. He's such a compassionate person." Flattering came naturally to Marissa.

"So, if you can get a ticket to that auction, you'll be able to see Nion in person. I can only help you this far. You'll have to figure out how to get the ticket yourself."

"Okay. Thanks, Jack." Marissa felt a glimmer of hope. Getting a ticket to an auction was a piece of cake for her. As long as she could bring Kayla to meet Nion, she believed Kayla would surely be grateful for her.
