Dominick paused midway, watching as Paisley entered the elevator with the nanny and Serena. Hearing Grayson's urgent shout, he gradually calmed down and quickly returned to Marissa's side.
"How are you? Are you okay?" Dominick asked softly.
Marissa shook her head, leaning into Dominick's embrace. "Dom, it's all my fault..."
"It has nothing to do with you. You were trying to help me." Dominick helped Marissa sit down. "Don't be so foolish in the future."
Marissa nodded obediently like a loyal puppy that had done something wrong. "Okay." She stroked Grayson's cheek. "I just feel sorry for Grayson. He longs for a mother so much."
Grayson pouted, his eyes red but stubbornly refusing to let the tears fall.
"Good boy, come here," Marissa said.
Grayson rushed into Marissa's arms, finally unable to hold back his tears.
"Don't cry. She doesn't want you, but I do. From now on, I'll be your mother," Marissa said, her eyes also turning red.
Dominick watched this scene, feeling a pang in his heart. He thought, 'Paisley, why are you so cruel?'

In the car on the way back, Serena lay in Maria's arms.
Although Maria had just managed to pull Serena away from Marissa in time, Serena was still somewhat frightened.
Maria gently patted Serena's back and said to Paisley, "Paisy, how much longer do we have to stay in Harrowfell?"
