“Maria, what’s this grass called? Can we eat it?” asked Serena. 

In the afternoon. Maria picked up Serena and after having some snacks, they took a walk around the garden. 

The garden was very spacious and picturesque, almost like being in a European–style classical garden. Serena was squatting on the ground, pointing at a patch of grass, asking Maria about it. 

Maria shook her head. You should ask your mom. I don’t know 

In her eyes, these flowers and plants were divided into two categories: edible wild herbs and inedible plants. 

As she wandered around earlier, Maria noticed that the flowers and plants seemed to be growing in a great environment. 

If she were lucky, by next spring, a lot of wild herbs might grow in this garden. By then, if Paisley hadn’t left, Maria would dig up all those wild herbs

Max curiously looked at Serena, who was squatting on the ground in a fluffy bunny suit, so small and cute. “What are you doing here?” Serena pointed at the grass. “Im looking at the little grass. 

Max nodded, his lips curling into a slight smile, his gaze warm. 

“What are you doing here, Sir?” Serena looked up at Max as she squatted. Max was so tall, like a giant. 

Max was charmed by Serena’s wide gyed gaze and smiled. He pointed at the gate ahead. “This is my house.” Maria then realized that they were standing right in front of the gate to his house, blocking his way. 

“Sorry,” Maria said, pulling Serena up. “Rena, let’s move aside, we’re in the way.”
