"Ivy." Dominic hadn't expected Ivy to show up here. His gaze quickly flicked over to Isaac.
Was Ivy still not over him?
He hadn't known Isaac was married before, so he'd been rooting for Ivy. But now that he knew Isaac had a family, if Ivy kept on pursuing him, well, that changed things.
Ivy's eyes were locked on Isaac, understandably so; he was the kind of man who caught your attention the moment he walked into the room. Even standing next to Dominic, Isaac held his own.
She approached confidently. "Mr. Salter, how about a round of golf?" Her smile was mischievous. "And if I win, how about we have dinner together tonight?"
With years of experience swinging golf clubs since childhood, Ivy had a swing that could put pros to shame.
Isaac intended to decline.
But Dominic, ever the peacemaker, chimed in, "Zac, why don't we all play together?"
Not wishing to be rude, Isaac reluctantly agreed.
Isaac's golf skills were impeccable, with every move on the course being picture-perfect.
Ivy was clearly smitten.
Dominic frowned at the sight and, finding an excuse, led Ivy to the lounge area. "Stop mooning over him, Ivy. Zac's a married man."
Ivy's face was a picture of disbelief. "Since when?"
"Going on seven years now." Dominic sighed. "Put those little schemes of yours to bed. Zac's a one-woman man."
But Ivy was stubborn. "I just really like him."
Tall, wealthy, a catch like him was hard to find, and she wasn't about to let go without a fight.
Dominic massaged his temples. Ivy was royalty, and even though they were close, he had to tread carefully with his words.
Ivy refused to give up and spent the entire golf game trying to engage Isaac.
However, Isaac was clearly not interested and became increasingly distant, eventually giving up the game altogether.
Ivy, frustrated, was about to approach Isaac again when Dominic pulled her aside.
The man turned red with anger. "You're talking nonsense!"
Who was this woman, daring to ruin his fun?
Brittany stood tall, unflinching. "I saw it with my own eyes. If you won't admit it, we should call the police."
The waitress, her eyes glistening with tears, looked at Brittany with gratitude.
The man, furious, looked ready to strike, but the manager arrived just in time, diffusing the situation.
The waitress got a few days off, and the man was blacklisted from the establishment.
With the crisis averted, Brittany checked her phone for Isaac's location and made her way to the private dining room.
Ivy was about to follow but was interrupted by her phone ringing. It was a message from the Queen's confidant, summoning her back immediately.
After messaging Dominic her apologies, Ivy left the restaurant.
