“No need. I won’t accept your apologies.” After she said that, Aliria was about to close the door. 

“Wait” Barbara’s hand gripped the doorframe all of a sudden, and Alina was certain that the door hadn’t caught Barbara at all when she was going to close it. 

However, Barbara immediately let out a scream the next second 

After seeing that. Bonnie hurried to inspect Barbara’s hand and then scolded Alina. 

“Why are you such a mean woman? How could you do this to Barbara? She did nothing wrong. Why did you trap her hand with the door!” 

Tm fine, Bonnte. I’m sure that Alina didn’t mean to do that,” Barbara said tearfully and affectedly. 

“Alina, we sincerely came here to apologize. Bonnie is still young and doesn’t know any better. Besides, she didn’t do anything wrong. She also didn’t know that Tom was such a bad person. She was just trying to negotiate a deal for the sake of the company. And Bonnie thought that you’re new here and wanted to give you the opportunity to prove yourself.” 

What Barbara said not only twisted the facts but also implied that Alina was ungrateful and didn’t know what she was doing. 

Alina listened to her words coldly while thinking satirically in her heart that Barbara’s acting skills were indeed lacking. 

Alina’s gaze shifted to Barbara’s cufflinks, where something flickered and was hard to discern. 

She then averted her gaze and focused on Barbara’s face. 

“So, when there is business cooperation, you all have to provide special services to the other party for the company to secure the contract? 

“I did hear Tom say that Ms. Hersey was the one who negotiated all the previous business cooperation. Did Ms. Hersey also provide special services to many people before?” 

“You’re talking bullshit!” Bonnie pointed at Alina’s nose. “Why are you such a witch? How dare you talk about Barbara like that!” 

Barbara also looked aggrieved. “I don’t know when I offended you. Ms. Chavez, for you to tarnish my reputation so much. I had never done that. 

“Bonnie and I came here today to apologize, but Ms. Chavez, why are you being so aggressive?”

Barbara’s face grimaced even more at the sight of Kelsey.

Barbara saw this and said, “Alina, Bonnie is my very good friend. I know you are close to Kelsey, so you hate me, but none of 

this has anything to do with Bonnie. Don’t get her involved, okay?” 

Barbara said tearfully, looking as if Alina and Kelsey were joint bullies. 

Bonnie was touched for a moment. In her opinion, Barbara was really nice, and no one had ever been that genuine to her.
