Chapter 120
Margo looked at Allison and knew she had caved in. She immediately ushered her into her seat. “Just look at you. You think a top–notch doctor would go for you? You’d be better off with an average Joe. My nephew’s quite the catch, hardworking and can take the heat.”
Allison sneered, “Your nephew? Margo, if my memory serves me right, he just got out of the jail for a half–year stint for robbery.”
Leah really had some nerve, digging up Margo’s good–for–nothing nephew.
“What did you just say?” Margo was fuming, “My nephew’s just right for you. And what have you been up to, huh? With all the crap you’ve pulled, I’m more worried about him being the one getting the short end of the stick”
A pudgy man of about twenty–five waddled over, dressed in a leather jacket, his hair slicked back, his potbelly protruding and his face greasy as a cheeseburger. “Sorry, got stuck in a bit of traffic.
He was clearly all dolled up, but it just made him look greasy.
As soon as Randal sat down, his eyes landed on Allison, who was sitting next to Margo. Her face was delicate, clearly without makeup, which only enhanced her natural beauty. Randal was quite pleased.
“You must be Allison. My name’s Randal.” He shot Margo a look, signaling her to leave.
Margo caught his drift. She stood up and said, “Allison here is a maid for the Flanagan family. You two officially meet today, how about setting a wedding
date soon?”
Allison frowned, not having said a word, yet Margo had already arranged the marriage? What a joke!
She wondered what Leah was up to.
After Margo left, Allison looked at Randal and said bluntly, “I have a boyfriend. I’m sorry, but this has all been a misunderstanding. Margo didn’t tell me she was setting me up with you. If you’ll excuse me, I need to go.”
As Allison stood up. Randal quickly grabbed her wrist. “Don’t go.”
Allison frowned, trying to pull away, but Randal held her tight.
“Let go of me!”
“Don’t get upset.” Randal smirked and gave her slender wrist a sleazy squeeze before letting go. “She may have tricked us, but I genuinely came to meet you I even bought your outfit.”
He chuckled, looking greasy as a fried chicken. His pudgy body seemed to exude a stench.
