She’s a girl and has a strong intuition. She could easily sense the unique bond between two people. 

Shawn put down the documents he was holding and said, “Focus on your job, dude. Why the hell would you be poking around in the boss’s private business?” 

With that, he knocked on the door and stepped into the CEO’s office 

Lucian Lindbergh didn’t even look up “Check on Dr. Dylan’s situation, see what’s up, and handle it.” 

“Gotcha” 

Shawn hesitated for a moment but couldn’t hold back his thoughts. “Mr. Lindbergh, why don’t you just tell Ms. Zimmer that you actually don’t know anything about Dr. Dylan’s stuff? She’s got it all wrong, you know?” 

“No need.” 

He straightened his tie Every time Allison Zimmer came up, he would think of her pale face from earlier, which made Lucian a bit restless. 

At the hospital, Allison stepped out of a patient’s room. She was aimlessly wandering around when she realized she had wandered into the nephrology ward, a place she used to frequent often. 

She had slept on the floor and in the hallways here, all just to keep her mother company.

Dr. Dylan was sitting here at the place he had worked for a long time, but now he was fired and facing a medical lawsuit. He did his best in that surgery and followed the initial plan, but he didn’t expect something to go wrong. He tried his best to fix it. 

Ever since the incident, it felt like a whole year had passed in just a few days for Dr. Dylan. 

He could’ve submitted his paper by the end of the year and been up for a promotion. He was an excellent nephrologist, and many of his seniors in the hospital admired him. 

But all of that was gone now. 

His phone kept ringing. He put it on silent. 

He knew his parents were looking for him, and Allison kept calling him, but he didn’t know how to face them. 

He felt like a bird that had been flying freely but suddenly had its wings broken. 

“Dr Dylan Suddenly, a familiar female voice rang out. 

Dr. Dylan looked up to see Jade. 

“Dr. Jade” 

Jade came over. “I heard you were here, so I came to see you.” She looked at Dr. Dylan’s stubble. “Dr. Dylan, you’ll be fine. My mom’s been working hard too. You’re just temporarily suspended, you’ll be back soon.” 

“Thanks, Dr. Jade Dr. Dylan knew the chances of him coming back were slim. 

Jade sat down next to Dr. Dylan. “Dylan Huff, I’ve always believed in you. I believe this is just an ordinary accident. We doctors always encounter some accidents. don’t take it too hard.” 

She looked at Dr. Dylan’s profile. Jade had liked him ever since his first day as an intern at Healing Haven Hospital. Her mother also admired him. Jade had pursued him many times, and almost the entire hospital knew about Jade’s crush on Dr. Dylan. But as for Dr. Dylan?
