Allison walked into the cleaning room full of cleaning supplies and saw Adrian sitting in the chair with tears in his eyes. 

“Adrian.” She shut the door behind her. 

“Allison, I just bumped into Grace. The Flanagan family is a bunch of jerks, how could they treat you like this? Grace is getting better, even though she’s still weak, she only needs to take her anti–rejection medicines daily, but that wicked Leah took her off her medicines, so she’s in a corna now! Leah and Grace are cousins who grew up together, I can’t believe she could do such a thing!” 

Allison gritted her teeth. Everything started to make sense when she learned about Leah and her mom. 

No wonder when she was young, those gossipy servants would always whisper behind her back about how much she and Penelope looked alike… 

Her mom usually didn’t wear any makeup, and her complexion was poor with her illness. 

On the other hand, Leah looked nothing like her mom, always in fancy clothes, wearing exquisite jewelry, and using top–notch skin care products. 

It’s hard to believe that she and her mom aren’t related by blood. 

Could it be a mistake with the DNA test? 

Once she had the chance, she made plans to take the test again. It was unbelievable to her that she might not be Grace’s biological daughter. 

Allison clenched her fists, grinding her teeth once again. 

She knew it, it was Leah who was behind all this! 

If anything happens to her mom, she won’t let Leah off the hook! 

“Adrian, we can definitely save my mom!”

Adrian wiped away his tears and took a deep breath, his voice firm, “Yes, we definitely can.” He looked at Allison, “I’ll continue to work as a janitor here, and try to get access to the sixth floor, then look for an opportunity to strike. I heard that a guy called Mr. Green knew the hospital director, that’s why Grace was admitted here, all because of Leah.” 

Mr. Green? 

Allison pondered but couldn’t match any faces to the name in her mind, so she decided not to dwell on it. 

No matter the reason, she only wanted to get her mom out of there. 

Allison couldn’t stay long, so after chatting with Adrian for a bit, she left.. 

Just as she turned the corner, she bumped into a man in black. 

It was a bodyguard from the sixth floor! 

Allison was taken aback, but she quickly regained her composure, looked away, and walked past him as if she didn’t know him. 

The bodyguard, however, froze–eyed Allison for a moment, then followed her. 

Allison made her way to the lawn, where a few kids were playing frisbee. The weather was nice that day. She helped the kids pick up their fallen frisbees while sitting on the grass chatting with Laura.
