Chapter 188
“You’ve been playing Jason, cozying up to Kamilla Your little scheme has been working pretty well. Fresh off your breakup with Dr. Dylan, you’ve already found a new shoulder to cry on.” Lucian muttered, his voice dropping low enough to only be heard by Allison. His words held warmth but only made Allison shiver, her body trembling slightly
‘Mr Lindberg, it’s just a coincidence I didn’t plan on coming to the Lindberg family, let alone ending up with Jason
“Mr. Lindberg if there’s nothing else, I’ll be heading out now.” Allison lowered her head, turning to leave, but Lucian’s arm snaked around her waist. She could feel his firm grip through her dress, making her all the more aware of his presence.
She looked up, meeting his icy gaze
“In a hurry to see Jason, are we?”
Allison’s heart skipped a beat, “No, I’m not.”
“I thought you’ve learned to behave.” He lifted his hand to her chin, gently tilting her face upward, “Are you really as vain and greedy as the information I gathered suggests? Breaking up with Dr. Dylan only to flirt with Jason, then look at me with those innocent eyes?”
He wouldn’t be fooled by her anymore
Even if she was the girl who once saved him, she was no longer the innocent person he once knew.
“Mr. Lindberg, I think you may have misunderstood…” Allison tried to push his hand away. His grip wasn’t strong, but she couldn’t break free. In her struggle, her cheeks flushed.
Just then, Kamilla’s voice came from outside the door, “Allison, Allison, why is the door closed?”
Kamilla was standing at the door, pushing against the kitchen door
Was Allison not inside?
The door wouldn’t budge.
Just as Kamilla was about to fetch the keys, the kitchen door opened from the inside, she was surprised to see Lucian coming out, “Lucian, what are you doing in the kitchen?”
“Mhm” Lucian simply hummed in response, passing by her.
Kamilla glanced at Lucian’s retreating back and walked into the kitchen. Allison had already cleaned up all the tools, “Allison, why did Lucian come?”
Allison’s voice was a bit hoarse, her eyes slightly withdrawn, “I don’t know. Mr. Lindberg came, saw that the cherry pie wasn’t ready and that you weren’t here, then he left.”
On the balcony
