She bit her lip, clutching her bag lightly with both hands. 

During the entire journey, there was no conversation between them. 

Her phone buzzed 

It was a call from Jason. She answered it, speaking softly, “Hello?” 

“Allison, are you home yer?” 

She glanced at the traffic ahead ‘Not yet, it’s jammed‘ 

“Well, pack some more clothes when you get home tonight. See you tomorrow. Oh, is my brother with you? Pass the phone to him.” 

Allison handed her phone to the man beside her, even though there was a gap between them. 

Lucian took the phone “Hello?” 

“Bro, you know Allison is my classmate, and I’ve been crushing on her. Make sure she gets home safely. Even if you’re busy, make sure she’s safe first” 

Hearing Jason’s words, Lucian’s brow furrowed subtly 

“Hmm” 

“Allison, you’re really crafty After hanging up, Lucian sneered coldly. Holding her much used, ordinary phone, he thought of the day Allison visited the Lindbergh family in her high–end pink dress, clearly trying to snag Jason and dreaming of marrying into wealth! 

Just moments ago, she was hugging and cuddling with both Dr. Dylan and Jason. 

“I don’t understand what you’re saying, Mr. Lindbergh” Allison tried to take her phone back from Lucian, but he tightly grasped her wrist. 

“Mr. Lindbergh, show some respect!” 

“You didn’t seem to remember that when you were flirting with me.” His other hand gripped her chin, his fingertip brushing her lips. “It’s ironic hearing that from you” 

“Fine, Mr. Lindbergh, let go of me.” She tried to cover her chest with her other hand, her sweater was already revealing too much. 

He sneered even more, “Playing innocent after hugging and cuddling with two men in front of me?” She obviously turned her attention to Jason after failing to hook him. 

Allison hadn’t expected him to have seen it all. Worried he might confront Dr. Dylan, she quickly explained, “Dr. Dylan and I broke up. We just ran into each other; he has a girlfriend now.” 

“Hmph.” Lucian didn’t believe a word she said. His gaze fell on her pale wrist, where a faint scar was visible. 

A memory flashed across his mind: her suddenly standing in front of him, getting this scar 

Slowly, he let go of her hand. 

His heart was filled with an indescribable feeling. 

Allison, stay away from Jason. I don’t care if you seduce other rich kids, just not Jason.” 

At his words, she laughed
