Penelope freaked out. “Allison, you’re plastered I’m taking you home now” Without wasting another second, she brushed past Jason, helped Allison up, and headed out. 

Everyone else was left staring at each other The Lindbergh family had invited a lot of people over for dinner that night. Many of the guests were young folks from prestigious families, with a fair share of good–for–nothing playboys 

A few glances landed on Terry and Dennis. These two were notorious playboys, never seen without female companions. 

Dennis shrugged “Oh man, I can’t remember, I’ve been with so many women!” he looked at Allison, Td remember if I’d been with someone as beautiful as her

Everyone burst into laughter. 

Terry waved it off. “How am I supposed to remember?” 

He’d had four girlfriends in the past month alone, he couldn’t even remember what the first one looked like,

Suddenly, a panicked female voice rang out.

Lucian had suddenly crushed the glass in his hand, with blood and glass shards mixing together. 

Blood was gushing from his palm, splattering on the floor. 

A girl gasped, “Lucian” 

The room, just a moment ago filled with laughter and chatter, fell silent. Nobody dared to upset Lucian. 

But what was wrong with Lucian? 

Lucian grabbed a bottle of wine and chugged it down. After finishing the whole bottle, he stood up and let out a slow breath, feeling a cold wind sweep through his chest. He closed his eyes, the words still echoing in his mind.
