Allison thought: Lucian was already engaged to Penelope, and he was always so sweet to her, a stark contrast to how he treated me. All his tenderness was for Penelope, and Penelope was even pregnant now. But if he truly loved Penelope, how could he end up in bed with me? 

“You’re her fiancé, and you’re supposed to marry her.” 

Heaning this, Lucian seemed to lose interest. He stood up, and she quickly closed her eyes, feeling her ears burning. Upon seeing this. Lucian chuckled, opened his wardrobe and changed into a new set of clothes. 

“Allison, you know, rich folks have their way of life, and poor folks have theirs. Everyone has to put up with some shit.” 

Besides, it wasn’t even certain if the child in Penelope’s belly was his. The Lindberg family was very strict about lineage. Until Penelope had given birth, he wouldn’t marry her.

Allison quickly grabbed the bathrobe, even though he had seen everything last night, but her cheeks were burning. She rushed to the bathroom. Her clothes were on the rack, but they were no longer wearable! 

“Lucian, you don’t give me clothes or money. I really got the short end of the stick from being with you last night.” 

“Got the short end of the stick? It was me doing all the work. You were just enjoying it. Weren’t you delighted just now?”

Lucian raised an eyebrow, “Seems like you have a bad memory. Do you need me to jog it for you?”

This time it wasn’t Lucian’s phone but Allison’s 

Allison took out her phone from the nightstand and saw the caller ID. 

It was Jason. 

“Hello.” 

“Allison, where are you? We’re about to leave for Pearl Island. Why aren’t you in your room?” 

“Umm. Didn’t I drink a bit too much last night? I have a headache now. You guys go ahead.” 

“A headache? Did you bring any medicine? I can bring you some.”
