The Billionaire’s Maid Bride (Flanagan and Allison) novel Chapter 442

Chapter 442

Emma asked hesitantly, “Allison, do you really have a boyfriend?”.

Talk about timing.

Just as Allison was about to respond, her phone on the coffee table buzzed. It was a call from Lucian.

Emma caught a glimpse of the name ‘Mr. Lindberg’ flashing on the screen.

Allison apologized to Emma, then picked up the call. “Hello.”.

“Lunchtime?” Allison glanced at the time, “Sure, I’ll be right there.”

She gave a slight smile, “You don’t have to pick me up. I can make it myself. I’m at Epic Entertainment.”

After hanging up, Allison got to her feet, “Sorry, Emma. I have to go now. If you need anything, just give me a call. I’m always available.”

She picked up her coat from the rack, “About my boyfriend. We can talk about him another time.”

Emma watched Allison walk away, letting out a sigh. She immediately started going through a few scripts, reading them carefully. She needed to plan for Allison, choose the right scripts and handle the business affairs in order to live up to Allison’s trust in her.

She felt regretful. Such a beautiful actress, her potential was wasted. But she had faith, Allison would make a name for herself within five years.

True gold could stand the test of fire.

Soft music was playing in the restaurant.

Allison walked in and saw Lucian already there.

“Sorry, I’m late.” Allison apologized.

“I’ve just arrived.” Lucian said.

The waiter handed over the menu to them.

Allison took a quick look and ordered a steak and a fruit salad. Soon, the food was served along with a fresh juice on the house.

Lucian said, “I have to fly to Britain this Saturday. I’ll be there for a week.” He looked at her. Her eyes were lowered, looking extraordinarily gentle and beautiful under the light. He said, “Your next role is all set. Jennifer’s new film is pushed back, so your next film is a detective story. The production team is really good.”

He had specifically arranged for this team. The director, Wade, was good at detective stories and excellent at controlling narratives.

The original work was by a famous detective author. His last work had sold 7 million copies just after it was released. His reputation was top-notch among domestic detective authors, so the new film was highly anticipated by readers even at the pre-production stage.

The scriptwriter was Victoria, Wade’s old friend. She was one of the women who had won the best scriptwriter awards domestically and had a great rapport with Wade after working together for 10 years.

The production team was almost perfect.

Allison asked, “Didn’t you say I could choose?”
