“Ugh, typical Hudson,” Charlie muttered with disdain.
Hudson had a notorious reputation for harassing some unknown actresses, and it seemed he couldn’t resist the fresh meat that Epic Entertainment had just signed. Julia, a new dancer under Charlie’s wing, had already caught his eye, much to her dismay.
Analia chimed in, “Mr. Sears is just like that, and there’s little we can do except warn our talent to just bear with it. After all, he’s got a lot of clout with the business side of Epic Entertainment.”
Gritting her teeth, Charlie spat out, “I’m sick of swallowing this bitter pill.”
Patty was a force to be reckoned with at Epic Entertainment. Even Mr. Sears had to show her some respect. But for Charlie herself? Last time, Hudson had the audacity to try on her!
“If I ever catch him red-handed, he’s finished!”
She had been putting up with Hudson for too long, but she also needed him. Without Hudson’s influence, she couldn’t stand up to Patty.
The thought of Patty always getting the upper hand made Charlie exhale heavily.
“Tell Julia to smarten up and don’t stir up trouble. Throw her a bone, like a magazine feature or a bit part in a TV show. Let’s call it even.”
Analia nodded.
“But Charlie, this isn’t the first time Mr. Sears has preyed on our artists. I’ve heard some of the newbies complaining, saying they might be better off signing with Patty. With Patty around, Hudson wouldn’t hassle them...”
Charlie took a sip of her coffee and set it down with a thud.
She sneered, “If they want to run to Patty so badly, then let them go!”
