The butler locked Lucky in a storage room, "Chill out, pup. That's Ms. Flanagan. She might be your owner someday."
Lucky saw the butler but didn't make a peep, just lay there on the ground.
The butler chuckled, "Why the sudden mood swing? You're usually not like this with others."
Lucky's tail wagged without much interest.
The butler brought some dog food and a can, feeding the dog. Mr. Lindberg had raised the pet for three years, and he loved it a lot. Ordinarily, it would live with Mr. Lindberg in Magnolia Gardens.

Lucian came out from the balcony, catching Penelope's words. He walked over, hands in pockets.
His gaze fell on the necklace around Penelope's neck, an ordinary necklace. He frowned slightly as if realizing something, his handsome face as cold as ever.
...
Penelope didn't notice anything, she continued to absentmindedly touch the necklace around her neck, but it didn't attract any attention.
She was a bit dispirited. She initially thought this necklace was important, but it seemed like the people in the Lindberg family didn't care.
At dinner time, Penelope saw her favorite steamed crab and was about to eat it when Cora interrupted her, "Penelope, you're pregnant now, you can't eat this."
"Cora, I totally forgot, thanks for reminding me." Penelope said.
9 pm.
Miranda instructed Lucian, "Take Penelope home, it's late."
Penelope had a rare journey with Lucian. Every time she tried to say something, Lucky at Lucian's side would bark, interrupting Penelope.
The corner of Lucian's mouth lifted, but his eyes were filled with mixed emotions, "It's nice."
He paused for a few seconds, his voice still deep, "This necklace is unique."
Penelope's heart pounded. She knew it. He saw this token between them, and he wouldn't be cold to her anymore, After all, it was his gift.
If the necklace hadn't been hidden away by Allison, her relationship with Lucian might have progressed further.
"I've kept what you gave me very well. This necklace, I've always kept it at home. I didn't want to wear it and accidentally break it." Penelope said.
The look in the man's eyes was complicated, "Really?"
Penelope quickly said, "Of course."
Lucian looked at the necklace around her neck again, his eyes devoid of humor, "As long as you like it, that's all that matters."
