Ever since Allison wrapped up her scenes, she just returned to the Red Jack Club, living life like she used to. Every night, when she got home, there was always a steaming hot bowl of soup waiting for her in the kitchen.
One morning, Allison woke up to find that Grace had already cooked breakfast and left.
After taking a shower and having breakfast, it was already past ten in the morning. Allison started to tidy up the living room and her bedroom. She then moved on to Grace's room to change the bed sheets.
Suddenly, while she was fluffing the pillows, she found a diary hidden underneath.
Allison had no intention of snooping around Grace's diary, so she put it back where she found it and grabbed a fresh set of sheets from the closet. As she did so, the diary accidentally fell onto the floor, so she bent down to pick it up.
Just as she was about to pick it up, a gust of wind blew. A few pages of the diary fluttered open, and Allison's gaze was suddenly drawn to the page...
...
After about two minutes, she bent down to pick up the diary from the floor, her eyes still fixed on the page.
It was Grace's handwriting.
"Today, Christopher is marrying Leah, but I can't accept it. I met Christopher first. We were together before Leah stole him from me. It's all because of her wealth, isn't it? I'll make her pay."
"I hate Leah, hate Christopher, and I hate myself. Christopher, do you know that it wasn't Leah who slept with you on your wedding night? It was me."
Allison was shocked.
She tightly pressed her lips together and kept reading.
"I dream about Ricky and Joshua every night. I can't sleep. Joshua, if you're dead, why did you have to take Ricky with you? Did you do it on purpose? It's my fault... I killed Ricky... Ricky, I'm sorry. I'm the one who caused your death."
Allison took the dirty clothes and bed sheets to the balcony and put them in the washing machine.
The washing machine was loud. She stood at the window, resting her hands on the windowsill as she stared outside, but her thoughts were miles away. She kept replaying what just happened. She didn't understand why her mom would write in her diary that if she knew their dad was taking Ricky with him, she would have stopped him.
But if it was just their dad leaving, then there was no need to stop him. She didn't understand why her dad would take Ricky away to get back at their mom.
Her thoughts were a mess... She couldn't make sense of it all.
"Allie, did you go into my room?"
Suddenly a frantic voice rang out, and Allison was taken aback. She turned around to see Grace in an apron with disposable gloves on her hands. There was a trace of anxiety and panic on her pale, thin face, as if something had been discovered...
