The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 501

"Patty, but Allison..."

Patty shot a glance at Sidney, saying, "Cease all activities that involve Sadie immediately. All of them. Until the end of her contract."

Sadie had only just started an eight-year contract with Epic Entertainment, and now Patty was implying a total blacklisting of Sadie.

Fear gripped Sadie. "Patty, I don't understand what's going on. I was the one who was attacked! I... Patty, I apologize, please don't blacklist me."

Patty didn't respond and left immediately after giving her orders.

Sidney panicked as well. It was her first time witnessing such a situation. She quickly caught up with Patty. "Patty, what's happening? Even if Sadie was in the wrong, it's not necessary to blacklist her. You know she has several business contracts and is about to start filming a major movie. Her lead role in Cathy's new show hasn't even aired yet..."

"Enough!" Patty cut her off. "Sidney, don’t you get it?"

Sidney was indeed confused. "What's so special about Allison? Isn't she just a low-tier newbie signed by the company?"

"Sidney, do you have any idea that the person behind her could wipe Epic Entertainment off the map with just a word? To him, we are nothing more than ants in the capital world. His power is beyond your imagination."

Sidney was shocked. Patty had been clear enough. Even if Sidney was a bit slow, she understood now.

Patty continued, "Sadie brought this on herself. If you want to save her, be prepared to be blacklisted with her until the contract ends, and then, leave Epic Entertainment."

Sidney quickly shook her head. "No, no, no…" She would never risk her career for Sadie!

Patty left with a cold face.

Emma nodded. "I always thought that you…" She paused. She had always thought that Allison was just a newbie at Epic Entertainment who was suppressed and had no power. She had no idea that Allison had such a strong backer who could easily cause Sadie to be blacklisted.

After spending some time together, Emma had a good understanding of Allison's character. If it hadn’t been for Sadie and her crew's excessive bullying today, Allison wouldn't have lost her temper. She was always a kind, gentle, and patient person.

"Allison, you're so powerful. Why did you ask me to be your manager?" Emma felt that she was not worthy of the position.

Even though she had been in the industry for several years, she had the lowest level of resources and connections. The only projects she could get were web dramas from directors whom she had entertained at dinners.

Allison held Emma's hand. "Because I trust you, and I need you." Her gaze was clear and sincere; her voice was gentle and firm.

Emma was taken aback. An unfamiliar sensation welled up in her heart. It had been a long time since she had felt this way. She squeezed Allison's hand back. "Allison, I can't promise anything else. I don't have much ability or resources, but I swear that I will never betray you. I will do my best!"
