The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 61

Her eyes were sparkling, her hand resting on the doorknob, seemingly hesitant.

Just as she was about to open the door and leave, there was a sudden knock, accompanied by a man's vulgar insults.

"Slut, I know you're in there; open up!"

"How dare you kick me? Are you asking for death..."

"Break down the door! Drag that bitch out!"

Allison's pupils shrank drastically.

The sound of the door being pounded on echoed, intermittently mixed with his crude curses.

Then, it seemed like the place’s manager had arrived, "Sir, who has upset you? Calm down, let me handle whomever this idiot is that pissed you off..."

"Stop banging the door. It wouldn't be good if you break it or disturb the guests..."

"Do you think I can't afford to pay for a door? I know your Deputy Manager, Samuel. Call him over! I am the most important guest here. Break the door! Drag that bitch out!"

"Sir, is a mere waitress worth all this anger?"

The manager knew what was probably going on. Kurt was likely drunk and taking the opportunity to harass a waitress. Such incidents had occurred a few times at the Red Jack Club.

The owner had set rules against such behavior, but if women were willing to engage with the guests, anything goes once they were out of the Red Jack Club.

The implication was clear.

No such engagements could take place within the Red Jack Club.

Even in the dim light, Allison could clearly see his handsome face with distinct features.

His gaze fell on Allison's face, clearly seeing the fear in her eyes.

James heard the sound of the door being pounded on and scratched his ear, "Come over here, tell us what's going on. Who are these noisy people?"

He smiled slightly. He had never seen anyone dare be so fearless before him. It sparked a sense of curiosity in him. He casually glanced at Lucian, then said to Allison, "Tell us your problem. Maybe Lucian can help you."

Allison didn't know if Lucian would help her.

Allison only knew that she was in deep trouble today.

She glanced at the rattling door lock and stepped forward, "I came out of the bathroom, and suddenly Kurt staggered towards me. He touched me, so I kicked him and ran over here..."
