The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 68

Payton coughed, then dropped her voice.

"Do you know who's the big wheel in Red Jack Club?" She asked mysteriously, igniting Ashley's curiosity.

The head honcho of Red Jack Club was an enigma in itself.

Whoever had the guts to set up a casino in such a place must be loaded and well-connected. But in Northfield, no one fit the bill, unless he was using a pseudonym.

Word has it, the first and second basement floors of the Red Jack Club were home to a secret gambling den, kicking off every night at ten.

Allison was getting interested.

Payton said, "I only caught a glimpse of him from a distance..." Her mind seemed to drift back to that moment, a kaleidoscope of colors dancing before her eyes, a sense of longing filling her, "He's young, handsome, and tall... I was quite far from him..."

She was here to get closer to him.

Ashley's eyes nearly popped out of her head, "Wow, he's young and handsome? I always thought the boss here would be a fat old man."

Payton blushed, cradling her cheek, "I wish I could see him again."

"Stop daydreaming, girl. You think we can just bump into the big shot like that?" Ashley nudged her.

Just then, Allison's phone rang. She got up, "I'm going to take this call, you guys carry on."

In the hallway.

"Hi Daisy, this weekend? I think I have time in the afternoon, alright, see you then." Daisy had invited her out. Allison hung up.

She was about to find Hailey for a new uniform when, stepping out of the elevator, she saw a familiar face.

"Dr. Dylan?"

Dr. Dylan said, "Dr. Thalia is hosting a party tonight, karaoke, dinner, and the works. She's been pestering me to get a girlfriend. Could you help me out, or she'll keep nagging me."

His eyes were gentle, waiting for Allison's response.

It was a small favor, and Dr. Dylan had indeed been a great help in the hospital.

After a moment's hesitation, Allison said, "Let me get changed then."

She felt slightly out of place standing in front of Dr. Dylan in her waitress uniform.

"Your uniform looks nice." Dr. Dylan said, "It fits you well, you look good in it."

Allison didn't really mind, she was just worried about causing trouble for to Dr. Dylan.
