"Mr. Landry, since you put it that way, I won't drag this out," she said, standing up. She opened a bottle of wine and poured three glasses. "Now that we've cleared up the misunderstanding, let's have a toast. To you, Mr. Landry, and you, Mr. Sears."
Andrew lifted his glass alongside Hudson, both downing their drinks in one go.
Despite knowing Allison had some serious connections, Hudson couldn’t resist his desires.
"Allison, you look stunning tonight," he said with a grin.
"Do I?" Allison replied, smiling.
Holding a glass, Hudson walked over to her. The private room was quiet, except for the two waiters. He stopped in front of her. "Allison, it's been a while since we last met. I was thinking the other day about offering you the ambassadorship for DS Jewels."
DS Jewels was one of the top ten jewelry brands worldwide.
Such a prestigious endorsement was rarely given to newcomers like Allison.
Hudson had the power to offer such a deal, but it required a solid portfolio to be a spokesperson.
"Thanks in advance, Mr. Sears," Allison replied.
Hudson smiled. "Allison, you should stop by my office more often so we can get to know each other better. As a newcomer at Epic Entertainment, I still need to understand you more." Hudson was the type of person who, until he got caught, would keep pushing his luck. At Epic Entertainment, the only woman he hadn't dared to harass was Kayleigh.
Kayleigh came from a prestigious family and was Lucian's childhood sweetheart.
Even with all the courage in the world, Hudson wouldn't dare touch Kayleigh.
What harm was there in a little touch?
Allison had the nerve to summon them here over a business matter and threaten them with Lucian's wrath if they didn't show up. To Andrew, it was unthinkable for a mistress to be so bold. In all his years as the president of Epic Entertainment, he'd never been so humiliated by a woman.
Showing up to Allison's meeting tonight was a slap in the face.
Even if Kayleigh had called for a meeting, he'd consider it first.
"Mr. Sears, I suggest you remove your hand from my shoulder," Allison said coldly, her voice steady despite her inner disgust. Ever since Hudson tried to violate her in his office, she’d been filled with revulsion.
Leaving a man like him in a position of power at Epic Entertainment was a disservice to the industry. How many young talents had he exploited under the guise of offering opportunities? He'd used them and silenced them with hush money, a cycle Allison was determined to end.
