The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 726

Miranda looked the manager straight in the eye and said, "From now on, if there's ever a mix-up, the order stays with the person who placed it, no exceptions. It doesn’t matter who they are or how influential they think they are. We're in the business of integrity. Especially with our regulars. Miss Lindberg has been a loyal customer for years, and this was handled poorly."

"I understand perfectly," the manager replied, nodding enthusiastically.

The incident left Miranda with no desire to continue shopping, feeling more confused about Penelope than ever.

Elsewhere, in a dimly lit hotel room, two figures were intertwined on the bed.

Afterwards, Penelope lay in Pete's arms, her thoughts heavy with worry.

"Pete, I think Lucian's onto us. I overheard him talking to Miranda by the door, and he mentioned your name."

She had been agonizing over this for days. Now that Pete was in town, she couldn't keep it to herself any longer.

Pete sat up, alarmed. "What exactly did you hear?"

"Last week, after the Lindberg family dinner. I was near Miranda's study and heard Lucian mention your name."

"So what if he did? Don't blow this out of proportion. I've been around the Lindbergs for ages; it's not like they don't know me." Pete tried to sound casual, though his heart was racing.

"I'm just worried, okay?" Penelope said with a pout.

Pete tried to soothe her. "What's there to worry about? I've got everything covered. Robbie's on my side, and those videos are long gone. The doctor who did your prenatal care has been moved to Brookhaven. Chill out."

Penelope bit her lip. "We should still be careful. If Lucian finds out, everything we've worked for could fall apart."

"He won't find out. I'm only here a few times a month. You're just looking for excuses to push me away."

...

Meanwhile, the internet was buzzing with a poll for the most popular character in campus-themed movies. Both male and female characters, leads and sidekicks, were up for nomination.

The vote was started by a film blogger with over ten million followers, generating significant excitement.

Among the nominees was Allison's portrayal of Olivia. Despite her limited screen time, her presence was mesmerizing.

The voting would last seven days.

Just one day in, Amaya, playing a college senior, held the top spot. Adrianna, as a high school beauty queen, was second. Surprisingly, Allison's Olivia was in third, already amassing thousands of votes.

Since the release of "Summer Times," Allison had received numerous offers for campus drama roles, but she hadn't accepted any. Some roles were best left unique. Comfort zones might be nice, but she craved new challenges.
