At this moment, on the balcony.
Allison was pushing this guy.
Back against the balcony wall, the woman's fingers clenched into fists, pushing against his chest.
Lucian's fingers slid through her hair, grabbing the back of her neck. Allison hadn't expected that this guy would dare treat her like this when the Flanagan family was around.
But, she could only resist in silence.
There was suddenly a knock at the door.
"Lucian, are you in there?" came Cora's voice.
Allison's body went stiff.
Lucian, however, didn't seem to care or he was doing it on purpose, enjoying the sight of the panic and tension in her eyes.
One of his hands grabbed her waist, lifting her up. Allison felt a loss of gravity and almost screamed.
Before she could react, he deepened the kiss, leaving Allison breathless.
This guy was nuts!
Cora stood at the door.
There was no response from behind the frosted double glass doors.
Was Lucian not here?
She was about to leave when she heard a faint noise from inside—
It was the sound of Allison biting down on his lip hard, and the man sharply drawing in a breath.
Cora paused again, calling out, "Lucian?"
Inside the balcony.
The man raised his hand to wipe the corner of his mouth, grabbed the woman's delicate chin, his handsome face slowly approaching, the hot breath hit her face, his voice husky, "Are you a dog? Your teeth are pretty sharp."
Allison's heart was in her throat.
His pupils narrowed, "Have you ever been to Cloudville before?"
"Before?" Allison was confused, "How long ago?"
Her grandmother's house was in Cloudville. However, Cloudville had a major earthquake ten years ago, and it's been completely rebuilt since. She hadn't been back for a long time.
Looking into Allison's eyes, Lucian squinted slightly, "Ten years ago, there was an earthquake in Cloudville."
"Yes, it was a big earthquake." Allison lowered her head, her eyes filled with pain.
In that earthquake, her grandmother left her.
Her voice hoarse, she said, "The entire Cloudville was destroyed, many people died, many families were broken... Natural disasters are so scary."
Her family had not only experienced natural disasters but also man-made ones.
Her father and brother had died in a car accident...
Now, only she and Grace were left.
