Lysander's gaze grew icy as he stared down at Thalassa. "So, you knew you were pregnant and still chose to run off with Callum?"

The chill in his presence filled the hospital room, making the air seem thick and hard to breathe.

Thalassa could feel the icy shift in his aura, his evasive answers, and the sharpness of his hawk-like stare. All were signs of danger.

It was supposed to be Thalassa holding him accountable for his wrongdoings, but with a twist of his words, she found herself the target of accusation.

Regaining his senses, Lysander realized he was squeezing her hand — the one connected to the IV drip — and quickly let go.

He looked away, evidently embarrassed. "I didn't mean to grip so hard."

Thalassa was taken aback. Was he actually explaining himself to her?
