The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen) novel Chapter 1363

Lysander glanced skyward, a surge of adrenaline coursing through his veins as he spotted a helicopter slicing through the air, hurtling toward the Thalassa family estate at breakneck speed.

Years of training had honed his instincts to a razor's edge, and every fiber of his being screamed danger.

With a face set in grim determination, he yelled into the house, "Thalassa, grab Astrid and get out here—now!"

Barely pausing for breath, Lysander bolted inside, his features taut with the urgency of impending battle.

Inside, Thalassa was shucking corn with Astrid, oblivious to the threat. At the sound of Lysander's commanding voice, she mistook it for another of his domineering tactics, the kind he used to make her bend to his will.

She didn't move, her mind stubbornly rehearsing her newfound independence. She had finally cut ties with Lysander and was determined not to be under his thumb ever again.

But in the next heartbeat, Lysander's towering figure stormed in, grabbed Thalassa's hand, and dragged her toward the door.

"Boom!"

Before they had taken two steps, a bomb hurtled from the distance, striking the Thalassa estate with deadly precision.

The villa erupted in an explosion, bricks and debris flying, walls collapsing in a cloud of dust and destruction.

"Ah!" Astrid's scream tore through the chaos, a sound of pure terror.

"Auntie!" Thalassa cried out, her mind reeling from the blast. The world seemed to shatter around her, paralyzing her with shock.

But Astrid's screams cut through her haze of disbelief, filling her with a desperate, aching sorrow.

As Astrid's cries pierced the air, Thalassa's body moved on instinct, her legs carrying her back toward the house, back to rescue her aunt.

The noise of the collapsing house had ceased; no more walls or dirt fell. Lysander's head throbbed with a searing pain. Several bricks had struck him during the collapse.

His vision blurred, but seeing Thalassa unharmed brought a faint smile to his bloodied lips.

Her tears seemed to ease his pain slightly. Coughing up blood, he mustered the last of his strength to tell Thalassa, "From now on, we owe each other nothing. Take the kids and live well..."

With his last word spoken, Lysander's consciousness slipped away, his body's full weight collapsing onto Thalassa.

Thalassa’s propped-up body buckled under him, her heart shattering like a hammer had struck it.

Clutching Lysander's still-warm body, she trembled and pleaded, "Lysander, wake up, please don't sleep..."
