Thalassa lifted her glass, toasting to Hertha with a warm smile, "No one understands me like you do, Hertha. Here's to our friendship that never fades."
"To everlasting friendship!" Hertha responded with a hearty laugh, clinking her glass against Thalassa's before downing her drink in one go.
Unbeknownst to them, a rugged man at the next table had been watching them closely all this while.
Impressed by their gusto, the burly man approached them with his drink in hand. His voice was gruff as he said, "Ladies, I must say, I admire your spirit. Let me buy you both a drink."
Turning around, Thalassa and Hertha were met with the sight of a towering figure, broad and sturdy, his upper body bare and revealing a tapestry of tattoos across his flesh. Among the intricate designs, a fearsome dragon tattoo wrapped around his beefy arm stood out, its head perched on his shoulder while its tail slithered down to his wrist. His appearance was intimidating, with a bushy beard framing his face and his brawny arms signaling strength and perhaps trouble.
Sensing his domineering presence, Thalassa and Hertha dared not offend him, worried that causing a scene might bring unwanted trouble their way.
After a quick, knowing glance at each other, both decided it was best to avoid making a scene.
To avoid any confrontation, Hertha forced a laugh and poured half a glass of wine for herself and Thalassa, offering a polite toast, "Thanks for the offer, sir. We appreciate it."
They raised their glasses to him and quickly sipped their drinks, hoping this gesture would encourage him to leave. However, the man stayed put, showing no signs of leaving.
He pulled out his phone, his eyes flitting between Thalassa and Hertha with a predatory gleam as he cheekily suggested, "You know, I'm quite the accommodating guy, especially if I'm tied up in bed. I follow orders without any fuss. How about it, ladies? Fancy adding me on WhatsApp? I'm at your beck and call."
Hearing this, Thalassa and Hertha were struck by a cold fear, their eyes meeting in a moment of panic.
