Hertha's eyes widened in shock, her breath caught in her throat as she quickly averted her gaze, using her hand to block the peripheral vision. Her voice laced with frustration, she shouted, "Alaric, for heaven's sake, put some clothes on!"

Just moments before, Alaric had been awkwardly trying to regain his composure after Hertha had kicked him. Seeing her embarrassment, he relaxed, crossed his arms, and smirked, "Come on, it's not like you haven't seen it before. What's there to be shy about?"

Hearing those words, Hertha's anger flared even more. Glancing around, her eyes landed on a mug on the bedside table. She grabbed it and hurled it at Alaric.

"You jerk! Taking advantage of me and then mocking me!"

Alaric caught the mug effortlessly, glanced at it, and teased, "Whoa, trying to murder your husband, are we?"

"Get lost! Who's your wife?" Hertha snapped back, taking a quick glance at him.

Even though it was just a brief look, she saw more than she intended.

Blushing furiously, Hertha bit her lip, got up, and quickly turned to go into the bathroom, eager to end the interaction with Alaric.

As soon as she turned on the shower, before she could even start to rinse off, there was a knock on the bathroom door.

"What now?" she snapped, looking towards the door. Through the frosted glass, she saw a figure standing there.

Who else could it be but Alaric?

Hertha clenched her teeth even tighter, thinking, Alaric really knows how to be a pain.

"The door, open it. I need to take a shower too," Alaric's deep voice sounded so matter-of-fact.

Hertha angrily retorted, "Go shower at your own place, with your clothes on!"

"My clothes are too nasty to wear," Alaric responded.

"Then wrap yourself in a blanket and go," Hertha countered.
