“Lydia, are you okay?” Hertha rushed over, supporting Lydia with concern. She observed Lydia's face, noticing a black eye that made her look like a one-eyed panda.

Hertha couldn’t help but let out a chuckle.

Lydia turned around, puzzled, “What’s so funny?”

“Nothing, just that you've turned into a national treasure, quite amusing.” Hertha didn't hide her amusement.

Realizing what Hertha meant, Lydia touched her bruised eye, wincing at the sudden pang of pain: “Ouch…”

Lydia sucked in a breath through her teeth.

“How bad is it? Should we head to the hospital?” Thalassa, pushing Lysander along, asked with concern.

“Hey, what’s the hospital for? It’s just a scratch. I’ll just apply some traditional medicine when we get back, it’ll be fine by tomorrow. Don’t forget, I’m practically a doctor now,” Lydia boasted, trying to downplay the injury with a bravado smile.

“That’s true.” Thalassa remembered Lydia was learning medical skills from Dr. Funke, so a minor injury like this was nothing to her.

“Mr. Sinclair!” David approached briskly.

Dressed in a silver-gray suit, he looked very formal, having come for Lysander's wedding. Yet, he found Lysander outside the hotel, surrounded by bodyguards sporting various bruises.

David, puzzled by the scene, looked to Alaric for an explanation.

Alaric flashed a grin, patting David on the shoulder, “You've arrived just in time. Take Mr. Sinclair back, I’ll escort the ladies.”
