He could tell Thalassa was deeply attached to the kids. It tugged at his heartstrings seeing her like that. After all, it had been three years since he'd last seen his own children. He knew exactly how Thalassa felt. His eyes, usually so deep and unreadable, now betrayed a hint of sorrow. But when Thalassa turned around, he quickly looked away, fixing his gaze on the road ahead and smoothing out his expression to pretend he hadn't been watching them at all.

Thalassa opened the car door and got in, still radiating a sense of reluctance to leave. "When can we go visit the kids at school?" she asked.

"The second Sunday of every month is visitation day. It's the end of the month now, so just two weeks to go until we can see them," Lysander answered her question.

Thalassa nodded, buckled up, and leaned back in her seat, falling silent. Although two weeks seemed a long wait, she understood the school's policies.

"Got enough energy for one more errand?" Lysander suddenly asked.

Thalassa opened her eyes wider, intrigued. "What errand?"

"It's about Susan," Lysander didn't hide it.

Thalassa blinked, taken aback by the sudden mention. It was a lot to process on the spot, but then she remembered just how much trouble Susan had caused.
