The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen) novel Chapter 1951

Lysander growled, his voice thick with fury, "Callum, I swear I'm going to end you!"

"Try me," Callum shot back, his voice now rough and husky, a clear sign he was serious, especially about forcing himself on Thalassa.

As Callum proceeded to tear at Thalassa's clothes, Lysander watched in horror and rage. It was like a volcano inside him was erupting, spewing molten lava, threatening to consume him whole with anger.

Seeing Callum’s reckless behavior and Thalassa’s increasing distress only fueled Lysander's rage.

Suddenly, a surge of unprecedented strength coursed through him. Grasping the arms of his wheelchair with both hands and pushing off with his legs, Lysander managed to stand, stumbling at first but quickly steadying himself. He lunged at Callum, yanking him back and landing a punch square on Callum’s face, sending him staggering backward.

Callum looked up in disbelief, "You... How?"

Lysander had stood up. How was that even possible when everyone said he would never walk again?

Before Callum could process it further, Lysander charged again, fueled by pure fury, and landed another punch, this time to Callum's chest, sending him flying into a wall with a dull thud before collapsing in pain.

As Lysander, consumed by anger, moved to continue his assault, Thalassa's crying voice pierced the air, "Lysander..."

Her voice, laden with sorrow, yanked Lysander back to his senses. He stopped in his tracks, turned, and saw Thalassa in a disheveled state on the bed, tears streaming down her face.

The sight pierced Lysander’s heart like a dagger. He changed direction, shedding his jacket as he walked over to her, wrapping it around her. He then freed her wrists from the leather straps and her ankles from the ties.

As Callum, clutching his aching abdomen, turned to escape, an officer swiftly apprehended him, handcuffing his hands behind his back.

"Stay put, where do you think you're going?" the officer barked.

Callum's body slumped, realizing any struggle was futile given the circumstances.

Already a fugitive, he was merely disgruntled that his incarceration was imminent without having won over Thalassa.

He lamented his unfulfilled pursuit and the unmet aspirations of Leopold.
