Hertha bristled at the comment. "Mom, whose side are you on anyway?"
"What do you mean 'whose side'? He's family, isn't he?" Kimberly retorted.
Hertha was momentarily lost for words. Well, she and Alaric were married now, officially a family. But they had only just tied the knot, and here was her mother, already taking Alaric's side and criticizing her own daughter. No doubt about it, she was a true mom.
