He had heard the saying that women were complex, but he'd never had the time or the need to dwell on such matters. His life was straightforward - people did as he asked, always keen to keep him in good spirits. He wasn’t used to catering to anyone else's feelings. Thalassa headed back to her room, pausing at the door to see if Lysander was following her. But when she looked back, she found no sign of him. He hadn’t come after her to make things right, amplifying her disappointment. Huffing out a breath of frustration, she shut her door with a bit more force than necessary.
