“What you’re holding is real, as is my mother’s necklace. There’s only one in the world, so that necklace is my mother’s. Please give it back to me.” Little Sophia extended her hand towards Betty. 

The other three little ones huddled around Sophia, their heads tilted upward, frowning as they looked at Betty.

“Dad, she took Mom’s necklace and won’t give it back.” Elowen pointed at Betty and complained. Seeing Lysander was like seeing the most powerful backer. 

Betty was shocked and terrified hearing the children call Lysander ‘Dad.’ 

“Sweethearts, why did you come to the mall? You scared me…” Thalassa came forward, anxiously gathering her children into her arms.
