The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen) novel Chapter 816

Chapter 816

Thalassa’s eyes narrowed, instinctively glancing toward the room, worried that her children or Evelyn might suddenly appear and see her and Lysander in their current intimate posture.

She would be mortified.

She forcefully tugged at her hand, glaring at Lysander. “Let go of me, not here at my mom’s, okay?”

Her voice seemed irritated but carried a plea and a profound helplessness.

If Lysander intentionally did such things to her, knowing her mother and children were in the room, it would be a complete disregard for her feelings, an endless humiliation.

She would hate him more, wanting to escape from him.

Lysander looked at Thalassa’s anxious demeanor with deep eyes. He did not loosen his grip on her hand. Instead, he pulled her closer, capturing her wildly darting eyes. His low, sultry breath fanned her face as he said, “So, are you saying it’s fine anywhere else?”

“I did not mean that…” Thalassa denied instinctively.

Before she could finish her sentence, she met Lysander’s deep, abyss-like eyes. The intense stare made Thalassa’s heart pound and her skin tingle, sensing a looming danger in the air.

The overwhelming pressure made her afraid to speak her mind.

This intense pressure made her not dare to say what was in her heart.

She ceased speaking, her eyelashes trembling in fear. She lowered her gaze weakly and said, “At least not here. Please leave me some basic dignity, okay?”

She tucked away her sharp edges and thorns, trying to be gentle and cooperative in front of him, all not to provoke him or give him an excuse to deprive her of seeing her children.

Something in Lysander stirred. Her plea for some basic dignity touched a nerve in him, causing ripples of unusual emotions.

He released her hand after staring at her for several seconds. “I don’t drink coffee. Don’t bother. Sit with me.”

With that, he returned to his seat on the couch.

Thalassa gently massaged her aching wrist, took a deep breath, and sat beside him.

“Let’s go back to the Royal Estates tonight,” Lysander said casually. Although he did not move, his naturally dignified aura and intimidating presence still inspired fear in her.

“Weren’t we going to go the day after tomorrow?” Thalassa blurted out.

She was supposed to stay at Vibrant Oasis Residences for two days, and then he was supposed to pick her up the day after tomorrow. Those were his words.

Why was he changing his mind now?

Lysander glanced at her. “The kids were throwing a tantrum, wanting to see you. They can’t sleep without you.”

He meant that it was not him who wanted her back at the Royal Estates but the children who couldn’t be without her. They were restless if they could not see her.

Thalassa was taken aback, surprised that Lysander would even mention that the children were throwing a tantrum to see her.
