The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen) novel Chapter 900

Chapter 900

Just the mere thought of it made a knot form in Thalassa’s stomach.

Her hand, clenched tightly around the papers, slightly lifted, her eyes meeting those of Callum. “How did you come to possess the contract of this house?” she asked.

“Well,” Callum started, his casual demeanor slipping into something more serious. “You see, back in the states, Leopold was not just my business partner, but also my closest friend. We founded Leossa Tech together. The Sinclair group only bought out our domestic branch, but the international headquarters has always been managed by me.”

Leopold had left to work abroad after he and Thalassa broke up, that’s when he met Callum. They hit it off instantly, and together they established Leossa Tech.

Over the past five years, Callum had become Leopold’s best friend. He shared everything with Callum, nothing was left unsaid. Leopold’s ultimate love was Thalassa, and everything he did was to win her back, to provide her with a secure future. Unbeknownst to him, Thalassa had given birth to four children with Leopold’s rival, Lysander.

Upon hearing about Callum’s relationship with Leopold, Thalassa’s heart clenched. Although Callum hadn’t yet revealed the details about the house contract, it was enough to confirm her worst suspicions.

Thalassa’s breath trembled, a pang of pain in her heart.

Callum continued, “Leopold knew you were selling the villa, and he knew you were trying to liquidate it to repay Lysander. So, he asked me to step in. The money was transferred into your account, but the ownership of the house was never transferred.”

That meant the villa was still legally Thalassa’s.

“But… I went through the process of transferring the title…” Thalassa stuttered, her mind racing.

She couldn’t believe that the villa was still in her name.

“The real estate agent went through the motions with you, but your forms and documents were never submitted,” Callum explained.

In other words, the transfer of ownership had never actually happened.

The money was given to Thalassa, but the villa remained hers.

As Thalassa grasped the situation more fully, the pain in her heart deepened, and her grip on the papers in her hand tightened even further.

“Why? Why would he do something like this?” Thalassa asked, her voice barely above a whisper, pain evident in her eyes.

“He wanted to leave you a place to live; he didn’t want to see you homeless.” Callum replied.

Thalassa’s heart pounded in her chest, “He wanted to leave me a place to live? What does that mean?”

“It seems you still don’t understand just how much he loved you,” Callum’s tone turned solemn.

His hand gripped the cup, but he didn’t take another sip.
