Robert was casually sprawled out in his seat at the head of the table, with his chubby legs lazily crossed as if the entire company belonged to him. He glanced at Amos and the others out of the corner of his eye in a show of complete disregard.

“Nothing much. I just want you to sign before leaving Alpha Ventures for good.”

Amos and Charles scowled, outraged by Robert’s actions.

“That’s just rude, Mr. Donovan. We have not received much money from you ove the years, yet you’ll kick us out the moment the Morgans choose to ally

themselves with Alpha Ventures.”

“Mr. Donovan, you should at least let us enjoy a share of the profits. We’re

old friends. You cannot do this.”

“Old friends?” Robert sneered. “How can you call yourselves that? None of you

said a word when Claire forced me out of my role. Why are we friends now?”
