Just after Jordyn called Celeste, the car Trevor sent to pick fordyn up showed up.

Miles assumed that when Jordyn mentioned Celeste being busy, she meant caught up in the usual Ember Festival family gatherings.

They had been swamped since the end of last year, juggling endless visits with different relatives. Just as they finally settled, work picked up again, and they were tied up nonstop.
