The CEO Gets What He Wants novel Chapter 354

Nicole tightened her grip on her handbag as she glared at them.

She tried her best to look calm and composed even though she was freaking out on the inside.

Suddenly, a woman who looked like a manager called out, “Stephanie, you're needed in private room number three!”

“Okay, I'll be there in a minute!” Stephanie then turned toward Avery and continued with an apologetic smile, “Sorry, I've got to attend to another guest now.”

Avery nodded and motioned at her to carry on with her job.

After Stephanie left, Cayden gently scooped Avery into his arms and carried her toward the private room.

The sight of him treating Avery affectionately stabbed into Nicole's heart like a knife.

I don't get it! Avery is just an ordinary woman! Why would Cayden treat her so well? I've done so much for Cayden, going as far as giving up my virginity, and yet, he has never shown me any affection whatsoever! Avery is able to proudly be with him and enjoy his love and affection, whereas I can only stand here in this corner and watch in envy. This isn't fair!

Nicole believed she already belonged to Cayden, so she had to marry him no matter what.

Even if she couldn't win his heart over, she was content with keeping him by her side.

The look on Nicole's face became twisted with anger and jealousy as she watched the family of four having a great time.

Her lips curled into a sinister grin as her gaze fell upon the cat in Rory's arms.

I won't give up on Cayden so easily!

Nicole then put on a pair of sunglasses and covered most of her face with a thick scarf before heading toward the restroom.

After making sure there was no one else inside, she whipped out her phone and made a call.

Each of Azure Royal's private rooms had unique names like Blessed Pavilion, Blue Sky Chamber, Euphoria Suite, and Serene Abode.

The private room that Avery and her family entered was named Crystalia Creek. Being Azure Royal's VIP room, it was incredibly spacious and had a theme based on nature.

Inside the room was a tree that looked hundreds of years old. It had branches that stretched all across the room.

Beneath the tree was a tiny river filled with colorful pebbles and crystal-clear water.

There were also decorations like corals and minerals in the corners of the private room, making it look all the more visually stunning.

Avery gasped in awe when she entered the room and saw the decor. Now I see why it costs so much to dine here! The environment here is amazing!

“This place sure is beautiful!” Avery exclaimed as she sat down at the table.

The tiles in the room were made of reinforced, transparent glass, providing them with a clear view of the shoal of fish swimming freely beneath their feet.

“We can come here often if you like this place,” Cayden said affectionately.

As he had been here way too many times and was involved in its design, he wasn't all that excited about the place.

Even so, he would happily bring Avery here as many times as she liked.

Seeing her bright smile was the best gift he could possibly ask for.

Rory and Zachary were seated at the table as well.

As Cayden had educated them well, they both displayed impeccable table manners.

The cat curled itself up in Rory's embrace while she gently ran her fingers through its shiny fur.

A handsome waiter wearing a blue uniform and a pair of white gloves entered the room and served up the food. The dishes included white truffle, caviar, beef steak pizza, seafood curry, and many more exotic delicacies.

The waiter then bowed respectfully to them before stepping out of the private room.

“You kids need all the nutrients you can get to grow big and strong, so try your best to eat a bit of everything.”

As Avery was about to help top up Zachary and Rory's plates, Cayden grabbed her plate and topped it up for her.

“The food here is amazing. You should give it a try,” he said.

Avery felt a little awkward when she saw Zachary and Rory staring at her with their mouths wide open. She then whispered to Cayden, “I can top up my plate myself. You should be helping the kids with theirs first.”

“They can do it themselves. I will only serve my wife,” Cayden replied, much to Zachary and Rory's dismay.

What the heck, Daddy? How could you be so biased and flirt with Mommy in front of us? We're still kids, you know?

Having gotten used to Cayden's display of affection toward Avery, the kids kept their thoughts to themselves and carried on eating in silence.

While they were eating, the cat in Rory's lap noticed the fragrant aroma of the food and stood up.

Its eyes went wide as it stared at the dishes on the table and stuck its tongue out in anticipation.

It looked so adorable that all four of them burst out laughing on the spot.

Zachary and Rory then topped up an empty plate with some food and placed it in front of the cat.

With a satisfied expression on its face, the cat gracefully lowered its head and munched on the food.

While the family of four and the cat were happily dining in the private room, Nicole was making a deal with a man in a dark alley.

Both of them had on thick layers of clothing to conceal their appearances. The man was wearing a boonie hat and a black face mask.

Nicole handed the man a huge stack of cash that she had just withdrawn from the bank.

In return, the man gave her a can of cat food and a syringe containing a green-colored liquid.

“Are you sure this drug will work? I can't afford to screw this up!” Nicole exclaimed doubtfully while eyeing the green-colored liquid.

“I've been working for you for so long, Ms. Lambert. You should know that it will work. This drug was developed specifically for cats. One injection is all it takes to drive the cat crazy. Just keep in mind that the cat will claw at people's faces, so it could lead to severe disfigurement. Be careful, Ms. Lambert,” the man replied in a hoarse voice.

“Oh, that's exactly what I want!” Nicole said with a sinister smile.

My goal is to disfigure Avery, so this drug will do just fine!
