The CEO Gets What He Wants novel Chapter 475

The hotel room was in a complete mess.

Half of Sid's face was hidden behind a mask, making it impossible to recognize him. However, just by looking at his exposed facial features, one could tell he was handsome.

There was a woman in his arms.

Suddenly, a red light shone in from outside. He quickly hugged the woman beside him and rolled off the bed.

A bullet flew through the air and struck the spot he was sleeping in a few seconds ago, ripping a hole in the bed.

Two men wearing masks broke in from the window.

Seeing their assassination attempt had failed, they took out their pistols and aimed at the man.

However, Sid was faster than them. He shot them before they could even pull the trigger.

Sid's aim was extremely precise, and he shot them in the middle of their foreheads.

Blood spewed out of their heads, and the two assassins were shot dead before they could react. They had collapsed to the floor with their eyes open as though they couldn't believe someone could have such fast marksmanship.

Everything had happened so quickly. The woman beside Sid was so shocked upon seeing two corpses that she started screaming, “Ah! Ahh!”

“Shut your trap! You're so noisy!” Sid chided as he wore his clothes deftly.

He took off his mask, and the woman started screaming even louder when she saw his terrifying face.

Luckily, this was a VIP room, so no matter how loud she screamed, no one could hear her screams due to the top-notch soundproofing.

Sid was annoyed by the woman's screams and hit the back of her neck. She immediately fainted.

Then, he lit a cigarette in frustration.

I can't believe that Donny Burke's men came all the way to Ackleton for me! How annoying is this?

At that moment, his phone rang.

Seeing that it was Cayden, he arched his brow before answering.

“Mr. Moore! Just get straight to the point. I'm a busy man!” Sid bellowed rudely as he cast a glance at the two bodies in the room. He didn't sound grateful to the man who saved him.

However, he didn't receive any reply from Cayden.

Sid was running low on patience and urged, “Mr. Moore, get straight to your point. I'm really busy here.”

He needed to clear the scene quickly and remove the evidence of his crimes.

Cayden's soothing and hypnotic voice could be heard on the other end of the line. “Have you ever considered living a life where you don't have to hide?”

“What?” Sid was taken aback.

Cayden responded, “If you help to take care of a matter for me, I'll help you escape Donny's clutches. What do you think?”

Sid was tempted because he was in trouble with the underworld and legal authorities for scamming people all over the world.

Nonetheless, he wasn't scared of anyone except Donny. Donny was a cruel mafia leader in Irushea. In order to become the head of the family, he killed his elder brother's family, which included his sister-in-law and nephew.

Besides, Donny went to great lengths to send assassins after Sid all over the world simply because the latter had duped him once.

Sid had tried hiding all over the world, but he couldn't get away from Donny's grasp.

Hence, he was instantly intrigued by Cayden's words. “Are you being serious?”

Cayden replied confidently, “Of course! I'm a man of my word.”

Sid decided to take up the offer when he thought about Cayden's cunning and devious methods. “Okay, it's a deal.” He was willing to do anything to escape the vicious Donny.

Back at the Moore residence, Cayden sat in front of Jeffrey, drinking a cup of coffee. He asked casually, “Grandpa, why are you looking for me?”

Jeffrey's sharp and grim gaze fell on Cayden. “You good-for-nothing! How did you allow such a scandal to happen at the engagement party? How will I face everyone now? The wife you have chosen is really disappointing!”

“Grandpa, I have already explained to the guests that the wedding will be delayed.” Cayden placed the cup of coffee down calmly.

“Why? Do you still want to marry her?” Jeffrey picked up his cane angrily and wanted to hit Cayden with it.

Allie immediately rushed to stop him. “Dad, this is all Avery's fault. It was that vixen who called off the engagement and made our family a laughingstock. What does this have to do with Cayden?” Then, she turned to Cayden and stated, “Cayden, your grandfather is angry right now, but he has high blood pressure. You should not speak to him in this manner because he cannot endure any form of provocation.”

Allie gave Cayden a look to warn him to stop angering Jeffrey but to coax him instead.

Cayden ignored Allie. “Grandpa, Mom. What do you want from me?”

Jeffrey glared at Cayden and snapped, “Avery looks like a good kid, but I didn't expect her to be so irresponsible. Where does she put our family when she cancels the engagement in front of everyone? How do I face others in the future? Let me tell you! I'll never accept Avery as your wife!”

Allie was overjoyed by Jeffery's response, but she didn't show it. Instead, she turned to complain to Cayden, “It isn't just Avery who is acting immaturely. Don't you realize Blake and Alina aren't as simple as they appear? Not only were they not remorseful for Avery's cancellation of the engagement, but they were also publicly cursing others. You can ask your grandfather if you don't believe me. It's no surprise that the Rumpley family struggles to teach their children. Even with expensive clothes, a country bumpkin will never become a princess. She can't hide the fact that she's a country bumpkin no matter how much she dresses up—”

Cayden interrupted with a dark expression, “Mom, stop it. Do you think I will accept you criticizing Avery in front of me?”

Avery furrowed her brows. “Why are you so stubborn? How is Avery a good fit for you?”

Jeffrey slammed the cane onto the ground and ordered, “You aren't allowed to marry Avery no matter what. Once she gives birth, our family will raise the child ourselves. Get rid of her with a sum of money and cut all ties with her! Don't blame me for being heartless if you're still insistent on marrying her!”

Jeffrey was a ruthless man when he was young. Cayden knew how cruel his tactics were since he was raised by his grandfather.

“Okay,” Cayden responded nonchalantly.

Allie and Jeffrey were dumbfounded upon hearing his answer.

Did we hear him right? Did he really promise to cut all ties with Avery?
