The CEO Gets What He Wants novel Chapter 512

Chapter 512 I Want To Marry Rory

Jacob was in a designer suit from head to toe. Coupled with his exquisite, mature facial features and bright, warm smile, he was no different from a carefree and unconventional aristocrat.

His hand was clasping onto Stephanie's tightly, almost as though he was unwilling to separate from her.

Stephanie was still as gorgeous. However, it was apparent that her eyes were glistening with sorrow.

That aside, the strangest thing was probably how her gaze would unwittingly reveal an inexplicable fear, despair, and disgust whenever she interacted with Jacob.

Contrastingly, when looking at Seamus, her gaze would become gentle, loving, and adoring.

Seamus was dressed in a cool-looking camouflage uniform, complemented by an army green beret on his head and a pair of army boots on his feet. The fashionable style accentuated the young boy's exquisite features, making him even more dashing.

Sitting on the couch, he had his hands stuck in his pockets. He was chewing on a piece of gum and would cheekily blow out a bubble occasionally. That sight left Avery gasping incredulously. How is this child so adorable? Zach is very charming too, but it's a pity he's too mature.

That was especially the case after she got involved in an accident. It was almost as if Zachary had become a completely different person. He was so sensible that she felt sorry and lamented how he was not as lively and energetic as other kids of the same age.

Having seen Jacob's son made Avery realize that was how a normal child should behave.

“Avery, I'll go and discuss some matters with Cayden. You guys have a chat first.” As Jacob spoke, he passed Stephanie's hand to Seamus. “Take good care of Ms. Stephanie. Do not bully her. Do you understand?”

“Daddy, Ms. Stephanie is so pretty and gentle. I love her so much, so why would I bully her?” Seamus could not help but roll his eyes at Jacob.

The man chuckled at his son's reaction. Then, he wanted to kiss Stephanie, but unexpectedly, she timidly turned her head away.

Jacob's handsome face darkened drastically. He grasped Stephanie's chin, and with a hint of malice in his tone, he snapped, “Tsk. We even have a child now. What else do you want? You'd better forget everything in the past. You'll get it from me when we return home!”

Tears began to well up in Stephanie's eyes. Her heart felt like it was stung by a bee, and even breathing brought indescribable pain to her.

Jacob leaned in for a kiss. Feeling satisfied, he finally let her go and headed toward Cayden's study.

After he left, Stephanie noticed the curious gaze Avery fixed on her. She wiped her teary eyes and awkwardly said, “I'm sorry for letting you see such an embarrassing scene, Ms. Rumpley.”

“Stephanie, you and Jacob... Y-You're pregnant? The child is his?” Avery was not close to Stephanie, and the only interaction they had was the other time when she got scratched by the latter's crazed cat. Nonetheless, she still had a good impression of the latter.

Avery was not a busybody. Then again, she could not suppress the immense curiosity in her after seeing Stephanie's behavior.

“Yeah. A little over two months now.” Stephanie touched her belly as she spoke. However, there was no motherly love or bliss in her eyes, but dread.

Two months?

Suddenly, Avery recalled how she heard a depressed and agonizing voice of a woman coming from the neighboring room when she stayed over at Peach Blossom Acres with Cayden about two months ago.

On the day of their return, she saw the woman from next door, and it so happened that she resembled the crestfallen Stephanie.

A man was also in that room, but I didn't see his face clearly. Could it be that the man was Jacob? Did he force her to have sex with him at that time? If that's really the case, then Jacob is too mean...

Avery was thinking of how to console Stephanie when Seamus abruptly climbed onto her recliner. Looking up at her with a pleasant look etched across his face, he curiously asked, “Ms. Avery, do I look cool in this outfit today?”

“Yes, you look great! It makes you look a lot more handsome!” Avery lifted into a smile as she patted the boy's head.

“Thank you, Ms. Avery!” A look of delight manifested on Seamus' face upon receiving the compliments. His big, round eyes swept across the room's surroundings, but sadly, he did not see the person he wanted to see.

The boy was visibly disappointed. “Ms. Avery, why aren't Rory and Zachary around today?”

Avery pinched his chubby cheek gently. She was impressed by how soft his skin was. “Rory and Zach are accompanying their great-grandpa today, so they aren't here. What is it, Seamus? Do you want to see them?”

Seamus scratched his head in embarrassment. “Ms. Avery, I like Rory. When she grows up, can you let her be my wife?”

The boy liked Rory a lot. Even though there were many girls in school, he felt that nobody was as good-looking as Rory.

Compared to the other girls, who were full of mischief, Rory had a good temper and was graceful and ladylike. Besides, she was also kind and helpful.

However, Rory seemed to dislike him. As such, he would often yank her braids and pull tricks to tease her to catch her attention.

“Seamus, do you know who you would call a wife?” Avery was briefly startled when she heard what Seamus said. But a soft smile soon played on her lips. This brat is still so young. Does he know what it means to like someone?

Seamus puffed up his cheeks and solemnly said, “I know, Ms. Avery. Daddy says liking someone means you'll think of her when you don't see her. You'll want to give her the best of everything and hope that she can become your wife. I'll miss Rory and hope to be with her whenever I don't see her after school. Every time I receive presents from Daddy and Ms. Stephanie, the first thing that comes to my mind is to share them with Rory. I think I do like her a lot. Rory says she likes soldiers and men who are mighty and courageous. Ms. Avery, I want to become a soldier in the future! I want to marry Rory and have her become my wife!”

Avery was left speechless.

Even Stephanie did not know how to respond to that. Seamus was Jacob's only precious son. Even though the boy was exceptionally naughty and often got whacked by Jacob, she knew very well that Jacob loved and adored the boy to the core. That was something no other man was comparable to.

Besides, as the Yankovich family's only child, Seamus bore the weight of inheriting the family business. There was no way Jacob would agree to his only son becoming a soldier.

It was beyond Avery's imagination that Seamus knew so much at such a young age. She was amused by how much sense his words made. I can't believe Rory is still so young, yet someone already has plans to marry her. It looks like she won't need to worry that no one wants her anymore.

Seeing how serious-looking the boy was, Avery could not help but plant a kiss on his cheek. “All right. If Rory likes you too in the future, I'll agree to her marrying you.”

This boy is not only so good-looking but also clever and mature. I'm sure he'll be a heartthrob when he grows older. Besides, our families are so close and know everything about each other. I think entrusting my daughter to her childhood sweetheart isn't a bad idea.

Seamus broke into a sweet smile as he looked at Avery. “Thank you, Ms. Avery. You're amazing. Daddy says Ms. Stephanie is carrying a baby in her belly now. It's a baby girl. Wait till my sister is born, and she can become Zachary's wife.”
