Chapter 579 Angered By Avery
Sitting on a luxurious couch in the private room, Jacob held the girl tightly in his embrace and kissed her aggressively on her rosy lips.
“I've been with so many women, but you're still my favorite, Layla!” he said while retrieving a thick wad of cash from his wallet.
Jacob then shoved the cash into the collar of Layla's low-cut shirt in front of everyone. “That looks like a real deal.”
“You're such a bad boy, Mr. Yankovich!” Layla said in the most coquettish tone possible while playfully pounding her fist against Jacob's chest.
There was a hint of glee in her eyes when she saw the other girls staring at her in envy.
Xander, who was seated across Cayden, maintained an expressionless face as he continued playing cards.
Those around them couldn't help but notice the huge contrast between the two.
Cayden was an attractive young man with a smile that could charm almost any woman in an instant. Xander, on the other hand, looked unapproachable with that icy-cold look on his face.
They knew that Cayden refused to get close to women because he was disciplined and preferred to keep himself clean.
Xander, however, was viewed as a weirdo.
His sexual orientation was a common topic of discussion among those who knew him. Some of the rumors even suggested that he was into men and secretly had lots of kept men at his place. Of course, that was simply a speculation that people came up with.
Xander was the godfather of Ackleton's criminal underworld, so no one dared mention any of that in front of him.
Noticing that Cayden kept staring at his watch with an impatient look on his face, Xander raised his wine glass and asked, “If you can't stand being away from the mother of your kids, then why not bring her with you?”
Cayden clinked glasses with Xander and downed his drink in one go. “She's currently in The Night is Young too.”
Those words had barely left his mouth when all eyes in the private room fell upon him.
Xander nodded. “That explains why you keep checking the time.”
“Since Avery is here, you might as well have her come and join us!” Jacob said, adding fuel to the fire.
Cayden got up from the couch after hearing that.
“Are you leaving?” Xander called out to him.
“You guys wanted to see her, right? I'll go bring her over right now,” Cayden replied as he opened the door and left the private room.
As Xavier didn't want to drink, he quickly followed Cayden out of the private room.
Everyone else in the room began gossiping about how Cayden was lovesick and needed Avery by his side at all times.
...
Meanwhile, Nina was fuming in the other private room.
She couldn't stand Brittany spreading such horrible rumors about Avery.
It was as if the problems that Maria had caused Avery weren't bad enough, her sister, Brittany, just had to follow in her footsteps. That's probably the one thing those two are good for!
She was about to say something when Avery tugged at her arm.
