Chapter 1015
Callum said lazily, “I think we can skip the apology. Since you just said that your child can’t study in the same classroom as Aiden, you can transfer to another school. This way, you won’t have to stay in one classroom.”
The couple and their child were dumbfounded. They had never considered transferring to another school. They had been making annual donations to this school. If they transferred, their previous donations would be in vain.
At this moment, the principal’s eyes turned sharp when he saw Rosalie. “Mrs. Youngblood, why are you also here?”
“Oh, I’m the godmother of this child. My godson got into trouble, so, of course, I should come to see what was going on,” Rosalie said.
The principal was dumbfounded, “Is this child you and Mr. Youngblood’s godson?”
“Yes, my husband likes this child very much,” Rosalie said.
As for the couple, when they heard “Mr. Youngblood,” they were shocked. In Strico, there was usually only one man who would be called “Mr. Youngblood,” and looking at the principal’s respectful attitude, that “Mr. Youngblood” was most probably referring to Jonathan.
Thinking of this name, the couple exchanged helpless glances, feeling bitter.
If only they had known about this child and that he had ties to the White Maple Group’s Chairman Callum and the Youngblood family’s Jonathan. They should have befriended him properly to establish connections with both the White family and the Youngblood family.
Alas, now they had created an enemy!
The homeroom teacher, on the other hand, seemed to remember who “Mr. Youngblood” could be. Her face turned pale, and her body trembled uncontrollably.
She thought, “What have I done?” The homeroom teacher wanted to slap herself right now.
The commotion came to an end. Rosalie and the rest left the school. She took Aiden and Amelia to the hospital to schedule a new cochlear implant for Aiden. Lillian returned with Callum.
On the way, Lillian appeared preoccupied.
“What’s wrong? Are you still thinking about Aiden?” Callum asked.
Lillian nodded. “Yes. I didn’t expect some children to be so unkind nowadays. Aiden might have a problem with his hearing, but that has been corrected with the cochlear implant. He can communicate just like any other child. In fact, he’s even smarter than most.”
“Some people will always look at others with different eyes when it comes to imperfections. But you shouldn’t dwell on it,” Callum said. “When they transfer to another school, it will serve as a warning. There won’t be discrimination against Aiden anymore.”
“But I think there will still be people who look at Aiden strangely, even though he’s clearly more talented than most children,” Lillian said, her hand on her pregnant belly. “I… I don’t know if our child will be completely healthy.”
Even through prenatal checks, some issues couldn’t be detected until the child was born.
“Our child will be fine,” Callum reassured her.
“But…”
“Even if there were any problems, I would ensure our child’s safety,” Callum promised. He was confident in himself.
“Okay, don’t think too much about it. Whatever happens in the future, I’ll be there,” he said, comforting her with a voice that was gentle but full of strength.
As long as he was there, she wouldn’t be afraid of anything!
On the other side, Rosalie took Aiden and Amelia directly to a nearby hospital. The doctor examined Aiden, and his injuries from the fight were superficial. However, the cochlear implant, even with an expedited reservation, would still take a week to be ready.

Aiden couldn’t hear anything for that week.
Rosalie considered the situation and said to Amelia, “Aiden should take a leave from school for a week. Once the new cochlear implant is ready, he can return to school with better convenience. If he goes to school now, it will be challenging to follow the classes.”
Amelia nodded and said, “That’s the best option. I’ll give you the money for the cochlear implant tomorrow, but I’m afraid it might still fall short. I might…”
Before Amelia could finish, Rosalie interrupted her. “I’m Aiden’s godmother, and this cochlear implant is a gift from me to my godson. You don’t need to give me any money, Amelia. There’s no need to do this.”
Amelia’s eyes turned red.
At night, in their small home, Amelia looked at her sound-asleep son and said to Matilda, “Mom, did I make a mistake?”
“What did you do wrong? Aiden’s injury today had nothing to do with you,” Matilda comforted her.
“I gave birth to him, but I can’t provide him with a good life. I took medication during pregnancy that caused his deafness and subjected him to discrimination. I forced him to stay with me, but I couldn’t become his strong support,” Amelia said bitterly.
