Chapter 1079
Lillian was so important to her that Jonathan often couldn’t help but feel jealous.
“Thank you, Jon!” Rosalie expressed her gratitude sincerely. She knew that when he was fighting against the Woolbright family, he had risked everything for her, even putting the entire Youngblood family at stake.
“Rosalie, there’s no need for us to ever thank each other like this,” Jonathan muttered in a low voice.
For him, as long as Rosalie desired something, he would do everything possible to fulfill it for her.
At this moment, on the other end, Warren brought Amelia to the entrance of the concession stand. Amelia unbuckled her seatbelt but did not immediately get out of the car. Instead, she turned to look at Warren and said, “Thank you for being willing to step forward and help today.” She was referring to the time when Jonathan faced a threat from the Woolbright family, and Warren helped by using the York family as leverage.
“Even if I didn’t step up today, that little boy would still have saved Lillian in the end,” Warren said.
That child was most concerned about Yasmin, so everything else was secondary. As long as she cried in the end, he would have saved Lillian.
Amelia said, “Regardless, thank you.” She was about to get out of the car after she finished speaking.
“Amelia, now that it has come to this point, do you still want to take the risk and have this child?” They were both well aware of what Lillian had gone through over the past few days.
“You heard what the child said, too. Lillian had a difficult labor because someone meddled with her. If we are more careful, I believe we can avoid it. I don’t want to give up on this child so easily,” Amelia replied and got out of the car.
Warren was taken aback. Just now, she used the word “we” as if she finally included them both in the same unit for the first time in all these years.
It was just a word, but it brought an uncontrollable sense of joy to his heart.

Chapter 1079
He wondered, “Could this possibly indicate that her attitude toward me has softened slightly? As long as it goes on like this day by day… Someday, she will gradually come to believe in me and my love for her! Perhaps, one day, she will be willing to return to my side.”
Even if that day seemed so distant and out of reach for him, he still hoped for it fervently.
Inside the ward, silence fell once again. Callum stood by the bedside, gazing blankly at the figure lying on the bed.
She was the person Callum loved the most, yet he could only watch her fall into such a deep sleep time and time again, unable to do anything.
Callum was in such a situation back then, and he never imagined that it would still be the same after so many years.
“Lillian? You will wake up for real this time, won’t you?” Callum murmured softly. Using both hands, he tightly gripped her right hand, which lay limp by the side of the bed.
It was as if the warmth and touch of her hand gave him the strength and courage to patiently wait for Lillian to awaken.
Before this, Lillian had only been awake for half an hour.
Callum was terrified that she would only be awake for a brief momen just like in the delivery room, before slipping into an endless slumber
At this moment, every minute and every second was agonizing for hin
Callum’s eyes were fixated on the person lying on the hospital bed, unwilling to miss even the slightest movement from her. He deeply feared that he may have missed any subtle changes from her and that they would have gone unnoticed.
After a long time, when the sky outside the window began to brighten, Lillian finally opened her eyes once again.
Callum’s whole body stiffened, and he stared at her open eyes in disbelief. Then, two streams of hot tears flowed down his cheeks immediately.
“What’s wrong? I… I just slept for a little while. Why are you crying?” Lillian murmured, attempting to raise her hand to wipe away the tears from Callum’s face. However, she realized that her arm was still incredibly sore, and she didn’t have the strength to lift it up.

Callum pressed Lillian’s hand against his cheek, murmuring, “Okay, I won’t cry. I won’t cry!” He struggled to hold back his tears, kissing her hand from the fingertips to the palm.
“Where is Rosalie? Did they go back?” she asked, her voice sounding strained.
“Yes. Yesterday, they were busy sorting out your affairs until late. I asked them to go back first. When morning comes, they’ll probably come to the hospital to see you again. They’ve been coming to the hospital to see you every day lately,” Callum replied.
“These days?” Lillian suddenly felt as though time had passed quite differently than she had thought. She asked again, “How long have I been asleep?”
“You’ve been asleep for 13 days,” Callum replied. He had counted every passing minute and second during this time.
Lillian felt a wave of astonishment. She felt as if she had just given birth not long ago, and yet, to her surprise, 13 days had already passed.
“By the way, where is the baby?” She suddenly realized that the baby was still in the ward when she woke up earlier. However, at this time, the baby was nowhere to be seen in the room.
“The nurse has taken the baby to another room for now as we fe might disturb you here. Once morning comes, I’ll ask them to b baby back here,” Callum explained.
Only then did Lillian finally feel relieved. “These 13 days… You mu had a hard time,” she said, looking at Callum’s current appearance. S could almost guess how he had endured these past 13 days.
“Now that you’re awake, everything is fine.” Callum murmured, “Lillian, was really scared of losing you.”
“Silly, I won’t let you marry another woman and have our daughter call someone else ‘mom’! Even if I were unconscious, I would make every effort to wake up! You’re so handsome. How could I bear to leave you?” she teased.
Upon hearing her words, a smile formed at the corner of Callum’s lips. Lillian never failed to make him relax.
