Chapter 1104
To make matters worse, the child was Jonathan’s. Even though the Youngblood and Serton families were based in Strico and Lommore, respectively, and had nothing to do with each other, the Serton family knew better than to offend the Youngblood family.
Marilyn glared at her son. “Stop saying things like that. Look at the poor child. You’ve scared her with your words.”
Wyatt merely smiled and remained silent.
With that, Marilyn stepped forward and began comforting Jennifer. “There, there. Stop crying. Since you’re here to say sorry, Felix will naturally accept your apology. Your parents will be coming to pick you up soon, so you can follow them home then.”
At that moment, the only thing Marilyn wanted was to send the little girl away.
Marilyn had intended to hug Jennifer, but the latter clung to her grandson so tightly that it was almost impossible to pry them apart.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, Jennifer bawled even louder when Marilyn tried using a little more force. “No, I don’t want to be separated from Felix. I want to be with him!” she shouted.
Needless to say, Marilyn felt utterly embarrassed.
Just then, one of the Serton family’s housekeepers rushed over. “Mr. and Mrs. Youngblood from the Youngblood family are at the door. They said they’re here to pick up their child.”
“Let them in right away!” Marilyn replied.
The housekeeper left hurriedly, and soon, Jonathan and Rosalie stepped into the hall of the Serton residence, only to see their daughter crying miserably.
Jennifer bawled her head off as soon she saw her parents, “What if Felix refuses to forgive me? Does that mean we can’t be friends anymore?”
“I… I didn’t say I wouldn’t forgive you,” Felix muttered, a blush on his cheeks as he hastily wiped Jennifer’s tears away. He didn’t like to see the girl cry. Instead, he preferred to see her smile.
Jennifer blinked her big doe eyes. “Oh… Really?”

Rosalie quickly stepped in to help her daughter while Jonathan turned to the Serton family members. “I’m sorry, Mr. Victor Serton, Mrs. Serton, and Mr. Serton. My child has caused you trouble.”
Wyatt curled his lips into a half smile. “Oh, she sure has given us a lot of trouble. Your daughter scattered money and mung beans around my house today, and a handful of our housekeepers fell quite badly because of that.”
Upon hearing that, Jonathan raised his eyebrows and glanced at his daughter.
“That’s because they wanted to catch me! I… I was worried I wouldn’t see Felix again if I got caught!” Jennifer explained, her voice choked with sobs.
“What are you waiting for? Apologize to Mr. Serton, Mr. Victor Serton, and Mrs. Serton this instant!” Jonathan ordered.
Despite her red, puffy eyes from all the crying, Jennifer looked at the three Serton family members and said politely, “I’m sorry, Mr. Victor Serton, Mrs. Serton, and Mr. Serton. I won’t do this again. I promise to ring the doorbell before entering next time, but you can’t send anyone to catch me, okay?”
After hearing the apology, the Serton family burst out laughing.
Meanwhile, Jennifer grabbed a box of chocolates from her backpack and handed it to Felix, along with an apology card she had spent a long time writing.
“This is my favorite chocolate, and this is the apology card I wrote,” Jennifer said in a nasal voice. “Can we still be good friends from now on, Felix?”
The more Felix stared at the chocolate and apology card in his hand, the heavier they felt to him.
When he finally opened the apology card, he was greeted by a sea of words.
Felix knew that Jennifer hated writing the most. She always slacked off

whenever the kindergarten teachers or home tutors tried to teach her to write, and as a result, Rosalie often remarked that she couldn’t even write her name well.
However, there was no doubt that the ugly words on the card were all painstakingly written by her!
“Is it because my handwriting’s too ugly? I… I’ve tried my best. Please keep this apology card first. I promise to practice writing so I can write beautifully in the future!” Jennifer said sheepishly when she realized Felix hadn’t said a word. In any case, she was only six years old, and she had no doubt she could improve her handwriting as she got older!
Just then, another voice rang out.
“I can walk on my own. Put me down…” Guillermo grumbled and squirmed as he was brought into the hall.
Unfortunately, he was too young, and his strength could never rival an adult’s.
Before long, the security guard dropped Guillermo in the hall, along with the tools the latter had used for his deeds of mischief.
Upon seeing the people present, however, Guillermo instantly stopped struggling and calmed down. Now that his father had arrived, he was confident he’d have someone to back him up.
Wyatt couldn’t help furrowing his brows as he looked at the tools. In his opinion, the so-called “tools” were somewhat crude.
Regardless, the little boy standing before him had used them to cut off the power to the Serton residence twice and even hacked their security
system.
